The Championship teams have to be rated higher than the other teams, so it would probably go: 1. 2006 Colts - won SB, 10-0 at home overall beat Brady and BB in the AFC Title Game, beat the Bears in the SB. 2. 1958 Colts - won Championship 3. 1959 Colts - won Championship 4. 1970 Colts - won SB, beat Dallas 5. 1968 Colts - lost SB, best Colts team ever that didn't win it all. 6. 2005 Colts - lost divisional round to eventual SB Champ - Pitt. I put them here because on paper this team was loaded and still had Edge James. 7. 2009 Colts - lost SB, oh what could've been?? 8. 2003 - lost in AFC Title Game to a very strong/great Pats team in New England. 9. 1995 Colts - 1 play away from winning the AFC Title Game, making the SB. Harbaugh was magical and our defense was very good and fundamentally sound. 10. 2014 Colts - Luck's best year ever, 40 TD's, 4700 yards, and we made the AFC Title Game but the Pats man handled us. -

Why do you think he “gave in”?? There are zero reports anywhere that we changed our offer. I think this was our offer from the start. The Eagles wanted it sweetened, and by all accounts, we refused. I think Ballard is very comfortable with his offer and how it all worked out. Just my two cents.... -

The guy is lucky Mike didn't knock his head off with that cast on his arm. -
IIRC Leonard, Pittman and Taylor were all impactful 2nd rounders--I think Ballard strongly feels that, in most years, there are about 18-20 "true" first round guys and after that there's not much qualitative difference between a guy picked at, say, #28 or #30 versus a guy picked at, say, #35 or #40. But given the Colts' positional needs, and what the first 20 picks are likely to be this time around, Ballard may well also feel pretty confident that an OT or DE or CB he really likes will fall to #21--in which case I don't think he trades down this year unless some other GM just blows him away with an offer too good to pass up.
