I don't feel comfortable doing O-lineman, as I am pretty terrible at projecting what translates from college to the pros.

I have some requests to do more on players that weren't in the original outline (Buck Allen, David Cobb, Trae Waynes, Brandon Shreff, ect...) If you want to drop a request in this thread, I'll get to it before the draft. Any position is fine, I only require that a player has at the minimum 2 tapes on DB (at least one from 2014).

As great as this is for this year, I find another use of it may be enlightening as well.  Maybe we can resurrect this in a year or two and we can discuss the surprises!  The players that bust, those that disappoint, and those who's star shined even brighter than projected.  Knowing their talent going in to the NFL, we can then discuss team environment, scheme, and personality "affecting" the talent either positively or negatively.  I'd like a deep dive area where we can discuss to try to discern why some seemingly  sure fire prospects bust, or are at least severe disappointments.  This body of work is certainly broad and comprehensive enough.

Great work Dustin.

Thanks, Dustin.  Astute list as usual.  Here is my list of possibles for the first three rounds. Guesstimates derived from NFL.com, CBS (NflDraftScout), draftcountdown, draftace, walterfootball, draftboardguru, nflroughdraft, Mike Mayock, draft simulators) In the draft simulations (First-pick and On the Clock), my biggest takeaway was how many times a top RB fell to us in Round 3; also the second tier RBs, such as Yeldon, David Johnson, Cobb, etc. might be just what we need (in other words, no RB in rounds 1-2).  The notes (met) means the Colts interviewed and/or worked out a prospect.

Round 1.

Alvin “Bud” Dupree (met)

Landon Collins (met- pro-day)

Arik Armstead

Eddie Goldman (met)

Andrus Peat

T.J. Clemmings (met)

Shaq Thompson (met)

Owamagbe Odighizuwa

Round 2

Danielle Hunter

Damarious Randall (met-pro day)

Quinten Rollins

P.J. Williams

Benardrick McKinney

Carl Davis

Michael Bennett

Stephone Anthony (met)

Paul Dawson

Alex Carter

Denzel Perryman

    • Packers or Colts 2003 team?
    • Little off topic, but since Arod is taking us down memory lane.   You guys/gals want to know what moment stands out to me, and in a horrible way?   Of course you do....lol.   It is the Chiefs game when Edge got hurt. I remember it vividly. Edge was going off against KC and they kicked off towards the end of the game. KC kicked off and there was 2:01 left after the return.   I was happy because Edge was going to get to add to his stats. If we would of got to the 2:00 warning we literally could of just downed the ball to kill the clock.   Next thing I know, Edge gets hurt in a career altering play. Smh.... Sad times.....   Literally 1 second changed the trajectory of Edge's career. He obviously made it back, but was never the same beast as those first couple years.   Me sad now....
    • I like Ballard and trust him leading this team forward
    • Yes, I was already reminded of my grave error in not remembering his untimely death.  Bad on me.
    • People are different. Some are more invested that others. One of the most positive people I know is a priest. He's still wrecked for a few days when ND loses...    And if you're one of the folks that is impacted (mood or otherwise) by a loss, it's a bit, or more than a bit annoying to hear a sunshine pumper tell you you're overreacting.
