I don't feel comfortable doing O-lineman, as I am pretty terrible at projecting what translates from college to the pros.

I have some requests to do more on players that weren't in the original outline (Buck Allen, David Cobb, Trae Waynes, Brandon Shreff, ect...) If you want to drop a request in this thread, I'll get to it before the draft. Any position is fine, I only require that a player has at the minimum 2 tapes on DB (at least one from 2014).

I look forward to your review of Smith,  the safety from Fresno.    He's very much on my radar, and I believe you mentioned he was on your list.....

You guys like the new format better?

I do. It makes it easier to compare the various skills of players at the same position.

Not sure if you intended it, but this is linking to a CBS Mock Draft.

That's weird.

As great as this is for this year, I find another use of it may be enlightening as well.  Maybe we can resurrect this in a year or two and we can discuss the surprises!  The players that bust, those that disappoint, and those who's star shined even brighter than projected.  Knowing their talent going in to the NFL, we can then discuss team environment, scheme, and personality "affecting" the talent either positively or negatively.  I'd like a deep dive area where we can discuss to try to discern why some seemingly  sure fire prospects bust, or are at least severe disappointments.  This body of work is certainly broad and comprehensive enough.

Great work Dustin.

fwiw, the only players I have a first round grade (projected isn't the same thing) on so far are:

Gurley, DGB, Davis, Phillips, Jarrett, Kendricks, Beasley, Diggy, Gregory, Johnson, Peters, Waynes, and Collins.

LOL @ my scouting report calling Paul Dawson fast and explosive.

I guess the tape doesn't lie, but man his combine performance was so unexpected.

Thanks, Dustin.  Astute list as usual.  Here is my list of possibles for the first three rounds. Guesstimates derived from NFL.com, CBS (NflDraftScout), draftcountdown, draftace, walterfootball, draftboardguru, nflroughdraft, Mike Mayock, draft simulators) In the draft simulations (First-pick and On the Clock), my biggest takeaway was how many times a top RB fell to us in Round 3; also the second tier RBs, such as Yeldon, David Johnson, Cobb, etc. might be just what we need (in other words, no RB in rounds 1-2).  The notes (met) means the Colts interviewed and/or worked out a prospect.

Round 1.

Alvin “Bud” Dupree (met)

Landon Collins (met- pro-day)

Arik Armstead

Eddie Goldman (met)

Andrus Peat

T.J. Clemmings (met)

Jalen Collins

Eric Kendricks (met)

Shaq Thompson (met)

Owamagbe Odighizuwa

Round 2

Danielle Hunter

Damarious Randall (met-pro day)

Quinten Rollins

P.J. Williams

Benardrick McKinney

Carl Davis

Michael Bennett

Stephone Anthony (met)

Paul Dawson

Alex Carter

Denzel Perryman

Eric Rowe (met)

D’Joun Smith

Preston Smith (met)

Nate Orchard

Round 3

Ameer Abdullah

Duke Johnson (met)

Jay Ajayi

Tevin Coleman

Lorenzo Mauldin

Jaquiski Tartt

Derron Smith (met)

Mario Edwards, Jr

Cedric Ogbuehi

Josh Shaw

Cody Prewitt

Henry Anderson

Ibraheim Campbell

Markus Golden

Stephone Anthony gets another request. :)

Malcolm Brown, RB, Texas, a possible late round sleeper - 2 fumbles in 630 rushing attempts, I like it.
