Colts 27 vs Titans 13

What the Colts did Right

The Colts won! They played well on both sides and they earned a long awaited win.

On offense, the running game was outstanding and all the credit needs to go to Donald Brown. He had several big runs, but none can be bigger than his 80 yard run which was just awesome! He went one way, got stopped, went the other way and just found the open field and didn't stop running. He had 16 rushes for 161 yards and 1 touchdown. Reggie Wayne had a touchdown catch and it was a beauty. He caught the ball that was behind him and managed to keep both feet in bounds. That play was our turning point of the game. The offensive line was great and they just did everything right when it came to running the ball.

On defense, they were just phenomenal. They completely shut down Chris Johnson and all credit should go to the linebackers: Pat Angerer, Kavell Conner, and Ernie Sims. Chris Rucker and Jacob Lacey also had great games. Pat Angerer had to be the best on defense as he had 12 tackles, 1 interception, and 1 force fumble. Robert Mathis also had a sack, his 80th of his career. They pretty much shut down that offense for 3 quarters. It was the best defensive game of the year.

What the Colts did Wrong

On offense, the passing game was weak. Besides 2 or 3 passes and a big block, Dan Orlovsky was absolutely useless. He needs to be much more consistent as he missed a lot of passes out there, including a wide open Jacob Tamme in a pass that could have gone for 50 yards. His inconsistency cost the Colts a bunch of first downs and possible points. That's it on offense.

On defense, David Caldwell missed a possible interception and that was one of the only bad things on defense. The other bad thing is that Dwight Freeney was shut down by Michael Roos.
