It's not about the money all the time

as per http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000478388/article/andre-johnson-colts-escalating-afc-arms-race In fact, the Chargers not only had a plane waiting to whisk Johnson away, but also offered more money than the Colts, per NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport. Indianapolis offers a symbiotic relationship, increasing the organization's Super Bowl opportunity while affording Johnson and Gore the chance to increase their Super Bowl odds -- and potentially walk off into the sunset. IMO its a breathe of fresh air to see a pro bowl player of Andres caliber take less money, even though Frank Gore probably played a major roll in his decision to sign with us. There is something special brewing in Indy or either we're even better negotiators than the priceline guy.

when youve played in the nfl as long as andre, youve already made enough money to keep you satisfied from a financial standpoint. the only thing left for him is to be a champion and the chargers arent even close to that. they've only made the playoffs once in the last 4 years

I suppose, there are alot of other examples where some  pro bowl Vets went the opposite way and took the money.  Im just glad he came over to our side.  Cant wait for us to play the Texans  :excited:

At the end of the day Frank Gore & Andre Johnson wanted to play on the Colts with Andrew Luck they believe there best opportunity to win a Superbowl is in Indy not to mention Gore wanted to play for Pep Hamilton & there is Chuck Pagano the Miami connection this was 2 pieces to the puzzle we needed last year .

chargers aren't bad but I feel they won't have the fans support as motivation

You could counter that with the Raiders have some of the most dedicated support going... look where it's got them.

Chargers have got a shot same as anyone and I'd quite fancy their chances in the West this year.
