Vikings making a run for Iupati

A source told the Pioneer Press the Vikings have reached out to a representative for San Francisco left guard Mike Iupati. He’s one of the top free agents on the market and would command a huge contract.

The Vikings are seeking a replacement for left guard Charlie Johnson, who recently was released. They have made it known they consider free-agent guard Joe Berger a reserve, rather than a starter, an indication they want to bring in an impact player to replace Johnson.
