This hints that Grigson will never EVER make the mistakes he made in 2013. I sense that from now on when it comes to FA, he will sign Big Name players and proven players. I'm liking that he is admitting his mistakes.

players from 2013 still on the team- Hasslebeck, Toler, Walden,Cherilus, and Thomas kind of. It's funny that Walden is a 'dumb' signing but he is still on the team.

Grigson will still make mistakes in free agency. Every GM does. The only way to avoid it is to avoid free agency, and that's a mistake of omission.

What this signals, IMO, is that Grigson is not going to let his mistakes linger indefinitely. Both Landry and RJF had plenty of opportunities to earn their money, but neither did. Now they're gone, after just two years. So much for the idea that Grigson won't admit when he's wrong.

We shouldn't go after Revis even if he's available IMO. We need to fix the front 7 first, and the O-Line. If we fix the front 7, and can consistently put pressure on the QB our CB's will be even better. Now if we didn't already have Vonte then heck yeah, but we already have a top 5 corner.

should have said their FAs not a FA

So they were willing to give him $12m for one year, as an outside FA, but they won't be willing to give him a multi year deal? I don't follow the logic.

Regardless, I'm saying I don't think he's going to leave. We'll see what happens.

Fully agree with this. Although I wouldn't be mad if we let Gordy go and picked up someone to replace him. But agree with basically everything you said

I am not sure this means they are making room for some big signing. I think it's just a cost vs production kind of move.

I am not too excited about free agency because I am worried about not getting the right players but rather expensive ones who would likely be kept by their current teams if they really want them. I'm more excited about the draft.

If the Colts came calling for Terrance Knighton I think he would give our offer quite a bit of weight.

Yes he was with Del Rio before, but the Raiders will not sniff the playoffs much.  Come to the Colts

and you'll be playing in December and January every year.

Jared Odrick is a pass rush specialist who's just OK vs the run. He's not fixing our run defense on his own.

we still have jones and chapman and we can get a run stopper through the draft. odrick gives us another pass rusher which everyone wants here.

Nick Fairley can get after the QB too, and IMO he's a better pass rusher than Odrick, and Fairley's pretty good against the run too. So that's who I think we should target.
