Combine Day 3

Not looking like an impressive crop of ILBs. Field drills were underwhelming most of the guys. Lots of stiff hips and guys who looked like they never dropped into coverage before. I'll look at more results later but Perryman running a 4.80 being the smallest LB makes no sense. But I'll be doing my winners and losers soon.

If we are not able to pick up Kendricks, some of the things I see from Stephone Anthony I believe he's actually the guy we should be giving some strong consideration to.  I felt pretty good about him before the combine, and now everything I saw today gave further confirmation. Big fast linebacker who thumps against the run and also makes plays against the pass.

But if he tries to get bigger and loses his ability to accelerate and get to the spot, then his strengths go away. 

 

Oh noes! What's an undersized ILB gonna do against a heavy set? Surely he'll get washed out against TWO fullbacks... right?

That's why we just have fun (hopefully) talking about it instead of getting paid to do it.

 

And even the guys who get paid to scout and study tape and select them manage to     it up on a fairly regular basis.

Thing is, they stink at it to lol
