I didnt need to go to practice to realize it doesnt get any worse than trent

no i have blamed grigson too actually. actually there were plenty of better options besides trent the whole time, did u not watch the denver game?

If you're trying to show off your genius football knowledge, you're failing miserably.    And in public.   You know people can actually read the posts you're making,  right?

Boom had a fumble problem.   You'll notice in other games when Boomer fumbled,  he got yanked out.    That's been his problem all along.    When he fumbled less,  he played more.     This is not rocket science.   And you're not the smartest guy in the room.

Oh, by the way.....   you're handle is STILL "Fire Pagano"....     so, you still look like a fool with an agenda.

If you read the piece on how Grigson picked Pagano,  (Building the Monster thread) you'd understand what Pagano means to the organization.

OK?

A "kids game" with countless millions of dollars and careers at stake, where an entire city and millions of people are counting on you to do your job. A painfully rare, unique opportunity to secure yourself and your [future] family's financial freedom. I'm only missing a beat if an immediate family member may die.

A family emergency is a family emergency, care less about a 60 minute game, the money, the people who only think about the player on Gamedays, family health is a much higher priority

Unless Trent is a trained medical doctor, somebody better be dyin'.

So what you're saying is a running back who has the second worst running stats in the history of the NFL is not one of the worst in history because he's good at other stuff?

That's like saying a Wide Receiver who can't catch is still good because he's a great route runner.

I do when only one stat is looked at. We can juggle stats at our will and make up anything we want to see. A WR very rarely runs the ball. A RB catches passes quite often so by omitting those stats it is over looking him as a player. I am not defending T Rich with this comment but I was defending not seeing the whole picture as far as him being the worst RB in history.

I'll challenge the idea that the Trent we have is the Trent the Browns had.    He's not.    He's not close to the same guy.

And I'll post video of Trent as a Brown,  and you'll see that Indy has never had THAT Trent Richardson.    I don't know why,  but we haven't.

Here's the video of Trent in his rookie year:    We never got that guy....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPePybIEkbM

He's not as good as he was with the Browns but he's not that far off either.   If you watch his other 260 rushes with the Browns (instead of just the 12 on the youtube highlight reel) you'll see a Trent that's similar to what you see with the Colts.

One of the first things I did after the trade was to watch all 18 Browns games on NFL rewind.  You can watch an entire game focusing on one player in about 15 minutes.  Watching only the highlight reel is very deceiving.

All I was trying to see from the highlights was his skill level....   his feet,  his ability to change direction and make people miss...  his vision...    his ability to see the hole,  and get through it...    what he showed on those high lights if FAR more than he ever showed with the Colts.     To me it's almost night and day,  and I'm not saying he was great with Cleveland,  he clearly wasn't.

But to me,  he was much, much better with the Browns than he was with the Colts.    The guy we got is not the guy he was with Cleveland.

Saw on twitter that Trent's mother passed away. Hopefully it's one of those times the internet is wrong. If true I feel absolutely terrible for Trent and his family.

Dan Graham @coltsinsider 6m6 minutes ago

For everyone * all over Trent Richardson for missing walk through, I am hearing his mother died. Please stop now. #Colts

Again this is not confirmed, just passing this along.

that would be a horrible trade. We might as well just cut richardson. We'd basically be trading a 6th for a 7th. One trade that could work out is trading T rich + 7th for a slightly higher 7th.

That trade would be a steal for the Colts because they wouldn't have to pay him. With that being said, no team would ever consider that deal.

Could you have picked a less reputable site from which to get information? That site claims that the Mars rover caught footage of a UFO, and the feed cuts away right when it happens. Goodness...

I'll let my previous post stand, but I'm very unconvinced of this for right now. The fact that it's on that site makes me think it's a flat out lie.

You have his own statements saying is a serious family issue. Seems pretty conceivable to me. Just cause you don't believe in ufos doesn't mean they don't exist. Lol

It would have been reported by now if a reputable source could be found.

5 minutes after it said Trent didn't make the flight because of personal issues some insane Colt fan was on twitter saying his mom had died. She started saying it yesterday to everyone who tweeted he wasn't gonna be there.

I looked at her stuff and she wasn't anyone with any inside info, mostly she just went on crazy rants about the Colts being the greatest and attacking anyone who criticized any Colts player or staff.

People are stupid and don't seek proof on anything written on the internet. Same *s on Facebook who have to Like the post about a month having 5 Fridays and it being some Chinese money bags, seems to happen ever couple months though. Or the people who have to Like the Jesus picture because it specifically warns them that ignoring it means Satan. People are nuts and will believe and follow what the computer screen says. They wouldn't keep putting up those " you just won a free iPod " adds if fools weren't eagerly clicking them.

I was merely just passing it on man. There was that only one tweet about it and nothing else really. But you're going off on a rant of your own that is unwarranted

Was listening to 1070 and Joe Staysniak said he heard Trent was basically kicked out and was escorted out of the building. Also, Kravitz said last night on WTHR that he had heard the Colts considered cutting him mid season but did not due to the cap hit. Apparently the feeling in the building was that Trent was not "all in", and even had failed weight checks.

It's conceivable. But there's no reputable evidence that his mom died, or is even in critical condition. There is only this website, which is strained for credibility, to say the least.

I agree, if it was true it would have been reported by now.

Trent is not a bad player. He just doesn't fit our scheme. Our blocking scheme is better suited for smaller scat backs like Bradshaw and boom. Power backs need a line that powl defenders and that's not our line.

It's funny that everyone here saw the Patriot game with a power OL and RB and know our OL but can't admit it's the OL's fault, not Trent.  Obviously there is a big difference between the 2 teams.  Bradshaw and Boom fit our scheme better, therefore perform better.  Trent needs a powerful interior, which he never has on the Colts.  Put Trent on the Pats, he would do the same thing as Blount to us.  People don't get that though.

lmao people are on here following the loss STILL talking about Trent. Trent is more than likely going to part ways (if not this offseason, next), but he is still a hot topic? Get a life people!!

You are still talking about him also

Trent will probably end up in a place like Baltimore where they will make him a star.

Even if you believe he will have great success on another team, you can't really hold onto a player who isn't working for your team.

If Trent goes somewhere else and sets the world on fire but can only produce 3 ypc for this team , then you gotta release him.

    • In reality they are probably right to point out that most GMs in the league don't have long enough track record to be free of small sample bias one way or the other. It's very likely if you gave every GM 100 drafts, their draft success will tend to converge toward the average. BTW, I wonder where Grigson would be on those graphs. I would guess pretty high thanks to drafting Luck and TY Hilton(similar to HOU in this graph thanks to Deshaun Watson). Just another reminder that even though those graphs might be useful in some cases you have to keep in mind their limitations and biases.
    • Doug...  these anti-Watson rants have gone from bad to worse.   Other posters here have noted you make it sound personal.   You have mischaracterized most everything that has happened.   Watson has a lot of support around the NFL.   I’d say far more support than dont.   I don’t pretend to know how this is going to finish?   But I hope you can lower the temperature here...   I don’t think it’s helpful.   Just my two cents...
    • Yeah, if Miller or Haeg had the WHOLE resume and the talent of Godwin maybe we should. Worth pointing out that this was probably the worst stretch of Godwin's career (and it was mainly thanks to drops). I think he had like 7 drops in the playoffs while never having more than 2 in a whole season previously. I would personally consider that a freaky happenstance, and trust the much bigger sample of him being a very reliable catcher of the football. Also, it's not me that's taken it here. YOU just did.   I've already pointed out several times that this is NOT my 'take', but rather a guess on part of the explanation on the Bucs place in those graphs. So why do you keep going with this? At this point I am considering this bad faith exchange on your part. On the second part - yes, it would have to be taken in consideration(if they were up for trade and tied in similar contracts, rather than Godwin being a FA). BTW Godwin is one of the players we should consider breaking Ballard's bank on this FA. Insert Whynothaveboth.gif Agree with this. Evans is both better and more valuable than Godwin. Worth pointing out that both Superbowl teams had premier pass catching weapons as it relates to our discussion on the value of the position.
    • Without contact?   I don’t think that’s true.   His knee injury this year was a helmet to his knee while his foot was planted.   He had 3-4 injuries his rookie year, I think only the foot injury was non contact.     Campbell had no significant injuries in college.  Think he played 38-39 games in three years.
    • I haven't payed a lot of attention to CBs yet, but Trill seems to check almost all of the boxes for what we look for in a corner (haven't seen any arm length figures yet, but length is a common positive I've seen for him, so im3 assuming he hits the marks). I'm really intrigued and need to check out some more film of him.
