The word of the day is ...... unprepared

I was fortunate to attend this game 20 rows up from the field

The seats were great.... The stuff on the field wasn't

As a Colts fan for over 4 decades, I have to really think about a game where this team looked as bad

The Jets/Colts playoff loss was one (Manning)

This was number 2 in my book

With me, I love my Colts, but it isn't life or death..... The sun will come up in a few hours......

The good Lord, will still be looking out for me

With that said, several Colts players had their individual worse days as a pro

I don't believe I have seen the Colts drop this many passes ever.

There are some people calling for Paganos head, and I agree that every coach needs to be evaluated

It's clear that Pagano is a players coach, and the guys like him. This is good when you are looking at free agency. However, we need a solid game planner as an assistant coach, someone that can actually plan what we need to expect from the other team.

We seem to be surprised each and every week.

I will add though Luck may not put the proper prep time either. He is the slowest starting QB, I have ever seen. Luck has to accept a chunk of the blame for where we are. He simply HAS to get better for us to more than we are..... Which quite frankly, is king of the cesspool named the AFC south.

Luck may need a change in QB coach. Someone to get him ready, and where we actually start the game "on fire"

The mix is wrong

IMHO, this team doesn't have it this year. It doesn't seem better than last year. the progress isn't there

So my expected changes next year

1) Game prep time increases 20% , First 2 series , scripted to get fast start / maybe new OC or HC

1a Luck needs some outside help in getting him past the notorious slow starts

2) Addition of ONE true proven road grader type guard, not a project

3) Addition of ONE OLB that can rush the QB (Mathis is older, and we need the next guy)

4) Addition of ONE ILB that can cover a TE and tackle

5) Addition of ONE Safety that can cover and hit

It's unlikely and a tough gap to bridge in one year, but we have SB contender talent, outside of these 4 players

We may need help at RB and WR as well. Colts likely willl not bring Bradshaw or Ballard back. Remains to be seen whether we are forced to keep TRich. We need better depth to help Herron our as he is not an every down back.  Reggie's drop off is alarming. He is no longer a  guy who can stretch a defense.  Nicks will likely be gone so that leaves us Montcrief and Hilton. We need more WR help.

I agree on other needs. I would add that we need depth at Tackle as well and i think we need depth at DB and probably DE.

TRich just isn't an NFL player...... Cut the losses.... Stop pretending that he will be the next superstar.....

The OL can't push, but he clearly isn't the guy.

He caught a screen yesterday and he had solid yards, just by driving forward.

He stopped and did his normal "dance" (has that worked for him on Sundays.. EVER?)

And 3 cowboys came over "mid dance" and stopped him, the 3 yards he COULD have gained, were gone

Maybe a turn at dancing with the stars?, but not. NFL......

At this point, I would be trying Tipton a little more

Again...... Sorry for the rant, but we have been seeking a road grader type guard for 15 years

It's been a missing piece on almost EVERY team we have fielded .........

I don't understand, why we can't do this.......

A single road grader guard, can make a huge difference in the offense.....

...... Keeps the chains moving

....... Keeps the defense off the field

.........Gives the offense options if the QB is having a crap day

...........Helps a team to win in cold weather

Everyone raves about Emmitt Smith here in Dallas still.

Put him behind this Colts line, and he would stink

In so many of his runs, he wasn't touched until he already had 3 yards

The OL is going to make or break the Colts

In my opinion, it is simply a matter of coaching.  There are teams who consistently have good offensive lines, and they don't do it with all high draft picks.

I also think that's most of the problem.  We don't have the most talented roster in the league, probably about average.

But I don't think Seattle or GB have more talented O lines.

Grigs likes to churn the bottom of the roster.  He better start churning the coaching staff too.

The broadcast said we lead the league in drops and that was before the 5 we had yesterday (at least). I'm unsure how that's on luck. Look at the packers and Rodgers, best QB in the league, last week against the bills. 7 dropped passes and their offense is terrible. What do you the score would have been if that was the broncos or pats they were playing instead of the bills? Do you think the packers fans are saying he needs to work on his release point or more prep time?

Let's stop watching the fire burn the house down and blaming the smoke for causing it.

I also couldn't come up with a worse game in my memory. Even the Jets game a lot could be blamed on Manning throwing so many interceptions. The entire team didn't look putrid like it did yesterday if I recall correctly. Completely unprepared you are correct.

Manning threw two interceptions that game. And both were in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter.

The Colts did not make it a priority to win this game. That's not acceptable. I'm interested in seeing how this team game plans for either Pittsburgh, San Diego, Baltimore or Cincinnatti in two weeks time, because Plan A was certainly disastrous yesterday and it didn't appear there was a Plan B. The entire team seemed to quit following the taunting penalty on Freeman and the dropped pass to McDonald.

    • Cubs defeat Astros 7-2. Now only .5 out of 1st place.   NL Central Standings as of April 23rd: 1. Brewers 14-8 2. Cubs 14-9 3. Reds 13-10 4. Pirates 13-11 5. Cards 10-14
    • I guess media could be saying stuff that I don't hear, I should acknowledge that. I just don't think anyone sourced or serious is saying it. It doesn't seem like those opinions are based on anything reputable.    I was personally concerned that the way things went with Reich and Saturday could undermine the coaching search. It doesn't seem like that happened. The Colts interviewed a ton of good candidates, and wound up getting one of the more sought after guys. They got a highly sought after GM in 2017. There was the McDaniels treachery, but I think he was just a slimeball.    The Colts are not a big free agent destination, I don't think that has anything to do with Irsay. I think free agents sign with the team that offers the most money, almost all the time. We've seen the Colts attract QBs like Rivers, Ryan, etc. Even Baker Mayfield listed the Colts as a desired landing spot in 2022. Maybe there's a player here or there who's turned off by Irsay, but I don't think anything like that has ever been reported. Like you said, the players only say good things. Anyone who goes on the record says good things. Former players call on him to introduce them to the HOF.    I just wanted to throw out there that despite the whispers and stuff, it doesn't seem like there's any substance to the idea that the Colts operation is negatively affected by Irsay.
    • I said it earlier but If you take Bowers, you re-work your TE room. Someone has to go. For me it would be Granson since he was drafted to be the mismatch TE, that’s what Bowers would be. Keep MAC for the blocking. I’d also put Ogletree or Mallory on the PS. Also wouldn’t mind drafting Tip Reiman late in round 5-6 to be the blocking TE with Bowers. He’s athletic enough to play STs too.   So again, if it’s Bowers, someone has to go. 5 TEs is too much anyways.
    • Washington had a break-out year for sure and was his best decision of his collegiate career to transfer and obviously paid dividends.  Washington said it before but looks like Josh Downs 2.0 and project to be drafted very similar in Round 3.  Between wide receivers and defensive backs, we could use another strong Downs clone in the slot.  With Downs that is the only biggest knock about drafting TE Bowers as he commands a lot of passes in the slot and would take away an already important role the Downs already excels in doing.
    • I thought Odunze may drop to the Giants. My friend who is a Giants season-ticket holder said he believes the Giants are drafting WR in the first round. I think it may be Odunze if not one of the other two (Nabers and Harrison).
