Colts @ Cowboys Game Day Thread

hmmmmmmmmmmm. That's one huge bone-headed WRONG call to give Dallas a first down on 3rd down, and one blatantly ignored bone-headed WRONG no-call on a 3rd down for us. These refs must have quite the money on the Cowboys.

Woah! No call on that pull by Carr?

Simms tried to justify it. "It didn't effect anything"

Oh so pulling someone down doesn't effect it? Really interesting

Lol, didnt effect the play?

No kidding. The ball was in the air and the defender had a hand full of jersey, pulling with enough force to turn Fleener's upper body.

We need a turnover or we're done before the half.

Would like to see fleener fight a little harder for the catch then just fall and expect the flag,

Hurry up offense, abandon the run, that's our only hope. Running the ball is a waste of a play. Please, someone hire Pep as their HC in the offseason.

Against a talented #2 or #1 vs a team with a good QB he is not very good, He is alright in my opinion don't get me wrong, But we will need to upgrade if this team really ever wants to be a SB threat

I don't disagree the Colts could upgrade, but he does not suck.

I guess we see who Simms is rooting for

Didn't you know "the Cowboys are America's team" said in a sarcastic voice. And wouldn't you know it Kris Kristy is a Cowboys fan too.

I agree...   this team is just getting sloppy and sloppier ...     as time goes on.

and it is EVERYONE....      that is coaching.       accountability.      There obviously is not a tad on this team.

The QB, Luck i can understand ...  but the acceptance of average play the last few weeks from others is just puzzling..

Why are we getting worse as the season progresses? We have sucked the last few weeks.

No. We've played a litany of horrible teams. We fold against real teams almost every time.

How are any of our mistakes Pagano's fault?  I'm not a Pagano fan, but a dropped pass isn't his fault.  A taunting penalty on Freeman isn't his fault

To go for a fake punt from our own 20 is a stupid call especially this early in the game. Also opening the game with 3 straight runs including a run on 3rd and 11? He routinely has this team unprepared to face the upper echelon teams of this league.

Oh and why show a fake punt in a game that means NOTHING to you?    Stellar Chuck...

Try it again in the playoffs....       sighhh

I get the whole, "we're a second half team" thing, but I am sick and tired of watching this team start games where they're just not ready to play. Against a good team like today, we will get embarrassed if we don't start making plays. This team HAS A LOT to figure out going into the playoffs.

Dewey was wide open. It was a good call but he dropped it.

please at least stop them here. Can't go down 21-0 and expect to win. We are good at comebacks but the cowboys are very good at shredding the clock. We need to comeback NOW.

    • Hmm, my only question is if they test everyone for COVID before entering the building (and I presume they use hand sanitizer also?), then isn't all the other precautionary measures redundant?
    • I wouldn't go that far.....
    • And I do respect and support it, doesn't mean I have to understand it because we have to face the fact that we can't isolate ourselves for months or years and that we can't avoid the risk of getting infected. Regardless of whether you are going to the supermarket or meeting with your family there are things you have to do and there is no 100% safety out there. You said it yourself: So many opportunities to get infected. Not only on the field or the football bubble but in real life that we simply can't avoid.    And If Joe Nobody can go to the office every day I think a football player can go on the field. And as I mentioned a football field is a much safer environment than an office with tests on a regular basis it's probably one of the safest places especially if they play the games without spectators. They say that it takes at least 15 minutes of realy close contact to an infected person to infect yourself in a closed room. And there are a lot of measures to minimize the risk like a max number of people in the training room etc. And yes Corona is a serious virus I don't doubt that but it's not the killer virus that is threatening to exterminate humanity. What we are facing now and that is noboby talking about is that we are dying a slow and steady economic and social death! But thats just my two cents.
    • First, I’m not sure it’s known just how much time you have to be near an infected to actually become infected yourself.      Second,  think of football this way...  every huddle, and there roughly 65-70 of them each side, each game is an opportunity.  Each play and tackle is an opportunity.   Every time a player goes in the team complex is an opportunity.   Every time you’re in the locker room, the weight room, the team meeting room, the positional meeting room, you name it, they are all opportunities.    There are so many different opportunities to get infected.     Plus, you talk about young people...   those people have their entire career in front of them.  The longer this drags out the more we learn that we don’t know as much as we thought we did.  That even when you’re Covid free many still report issues with their heart and lungs.  That’s not good for anyone,  especially athletes.  Young athletes are trying to protect their careers.    These decisions are complex, but you have to respect and support every decision,  no matter which way it goes.
    • I respect there decision but don't understand it. Why? Athletes get tested on a regular basis, they can wear helmets with a faceshield, we know that u need to spend considerable time very close to a infected person to get infected yourself and they play outside where the risk isn't that big anyway. So athletes are probably the most safe persons in this pandemic. If others can do their daily work athletes can do it too.
