Like I said maybe he’s doing better than I give him credit for, I’ll freely admit I am not a football coach or a scout. I am just a fan and I am just telling you what I have seen. Like I also said, maybe it’s like being a good olineman that most of the time people don’t notice you unless you do something wrong. I am just saying, especially over the last three weeks, it’s happened a lot. Maybe it’s really Willis making mistakes and Hooker is trying to cover for him but for some reason the safeties are not on the same page and it’s killing them.
JB is not the only bad today, but he wasn't good. You don't think you need more than 2 passing TDs when you're playing the 2nd worst pass D, who also has the 2nd best run D, who is also top 5 in points scored and passing. If you though our run game was going to carry us, not sure what to tell you. If you didn't think this would be high scoring, even Vegas had the O/U around 50.
The D play calling was probably worse than JB's performance. Soft zone vs a guy known to torch zones especially when he gets outside of the pocket. Lack of blitzing vs a QB who is one of the most sacked QBs in the league.... Half time adjustments were horrible if there were any.
The only really issue I have with JB today is he had nothing in the 4th. Missed open guys, and several bad throws when it mattered. But sorry, we needed more than 2 passing TDs to compete today, and that was not a mystery.
OK that's just nonsense.
There shouldn't be a bunch of hate directed at Brissett. he did his job this time. In fact this game was his best performance in awhile.
Other things went wrong around him but Brissett put up enough points to win. That's his job
This stuff just happens to young teams. One thing gets going 2 other things break down. Its one of the most hair-pullingly frustrating parts of having a young football team that's trying to mature as a unit.
If young players always developed smoothly and reached their potential on schedule there would be no need for veterans.
