Are the Jets still trouble?

Had the Jets picked up Nnamdi, their defense would have been mean. But now with the loss of Cro (who knows it he will sign back) and the lack of a good corner opposite Revis, are the Jets still trouble? They lost their X factor weapon in Brad Smith who could just about do everything, I don't think Braylon will sign back with the team, Sanchez is inconsistent at QB and they have a hug hole opposite Revis for offenses to pick on. Are the Jets as big a threat as they were last year and the year before?

I think as long as the J-E-T-S have Rex Ryan they are going to be trouble . . . if they had gotten Nnamdi and kept Smith and Edwards they would be trouble, i had them around 4-6 top teams in the AFC . . . now with the loss of Nnamdi and with Smith gone and likley Edwards and Cro, they might be in trouble . . . the Jets will still be a strong team but kind of a wildcard in my opinion, it could go both ways . . .

Altho the Jets had a good record and played solid in the playoffs . . . they did have a few lucky wins last year, that if had gone the other way, they may not of had as an impressive record . . . so given that and with the precieved weaking of the team, the J-E-T-S could go 8-8 this year as well as 11-5 . . . so we'll see . . . I think if they had added the abovementioned players it would of been an heck of race in the AFC East . . . it still will be but i think the pats have the edge . . .

however, given the JETS playoff record, if they get in the PO, which they likely could do, it could be another interesting Jan. in NY . . .

No.

Two years ago in the playoffs 30 mins. of competitive play separated us from them. A significant margin. Last year while we were severely hobbled and barely even made postseason they *just* did get by us. They haven't improved this offseason & Sanchez hasn't proven to be steady. I don't see them as a problem for us or for the Pats in their division this year.

Head-to-head with us, I just don't see the Jets as an obstacle we can't clear....provided we're healthy and do something to address 3rd & short, which we appear to have done this offseason. I still follow the AFC East fairly close, just a holdover from all the past years playing in that division. I believe the Pats will take the East this year even though Jets/Pats head-to-head will be hot contests, per usual.
