How Would You Feel Today If You Were A Patriot Fan?

. . . or if you are a Patriot fan?

OK, I know that even the mere thought of being a Patriot fan may make some of you shudder. :omg:

Also, I am writing this based on the premise that today's game may be a repeat of the fiasco vs. the Saints.

If you were (are) a Patriot fan, would you be thrilled if the Patriots creamed the Colts? Would you say, "Hey, a win is a win and I don't care. Beating the Colts is always fun in my book. The fact that they are 0-11 doesn't make any difference".

Or while you would be happy as a Patriot fan to secure another W, would it not be the same? Would you be thinking the fun was taken out of the game? That it was one thing to beat a successful Colt's team, but not to beat an 0-11 Colt's team?

For me, it would be the latter. Even the win against the Patriots the year Brady was injured wasn't the same for me.

The thing about NE is that they don't care. What was the one game,Washington I think the one year they ran up the score 70 something to 0 and kept their starters in the whole game. It's one thing to show up and play and expect the other team to play but when you do this kind of thing,it's kind of a slap in the face imo.

I agree with you She Colt. I am sure they will be grateful for the victory but it won't be the same for them beating us without Peyton. When we beat the Pats that year when Brady was out, I was glad to beat them but it just didn't feel the same without Tom on the other end to see his ticked off defeated expression. :D

If I was a Patriot fan this would just be a game against an 0-11 team. I wouldn't even be a little bit excited about it. Colts vs. Patriots is not a rivalry, Manning vs. Brady is. Remember in 2008 when Brady was out? The Colts vs. Patriots game had no luster and I personally did not get excited for it, even though New England was still pretty good.

There is enormous satisfaction is besting a great opponent, but a game like this is just sad. If I'm a NE fan, a win would be boring, a loss devastating. Humiliating us would accomplish nothing besides make next years game more difficult for them. I think they just put the Colts away like it's business as usual, and move on.

I don't even remember the game when Brady didn't play. It meant nothing compared to the other matchups, and this game should mean nothing special to Pats fans. But that doesn't mean that there won't be a fair amount of knuckleheads out there rejoicing like they just won the Super Bowl. I'd just try to take that as a compliment that it means so much to them.

Well to me its even at game time. I don't care how bad someone's record is. It's the NFL.

We need a win to keep pace with the seeding...what the final score is doesn't matter.

But to answer the question directly..no..a blowout because its the colts is not my desire. Now if Manning were playing...then....... :P

haha! +1 for you. I agree it wasn't the same.

If I were a Patriot fan I'd feel blah about the game and a little ticked because thanks to the Colts the game was flexed. Not all Pats fans live in NE of course and may not be able to see the game unless it's nationally broadcasted.

To answer your question, I'm hoping we blow you out of the water, and I'm really excited about the game in spite of Peyton being out. I see the Patriots getting picked to be upset virtually every week in the predictions thread, and I think this will be a good week to get out my frustrations as pertains to those posters who always pick against us in such petty fashion.

That's my honest opinion. I hope no one on your team gets hurt (though I expect to hear some posters on here urge players to shoot at Brady's knee if the score gets ugly), but I do want to send a message. It's a football game and anything can happen though. Records mean nothing, and I still remember losing to the lowly Dolphins in the last week of the 2004-2005 season.

I'm not urging injury just sacks.I for one don't care for anyone getting hurt or dirty hits.Like what Suh did on Thanksgiving beating the guys head into the ground and stepping on his arm. There's no call for this type of behavior at all.But a good clean sack is always awesome! :D

Well being in NE I prefer the early games.

Game is exciting to me because as far as I'm concerned the colts are 0-0 at game time. ;) I just love the competition of the game.

Colts are actually driving on them pats D.

Exactly what I'm talking about...competitive.

Great game plan (for a change) by the colts.

But I still love our defense when its on the line. (see goaline stance to get ya only 3;))
