Colts Vs. Bengals Game Day Thread

Recommended Posts

Hi, Colts Nation!  :)     Andy Dalton and the 3-1-1 Cincinnati Bengals visit LOS  to play our 4-2 Indianapolis Colts in the battle of AFC divisional leaders.  Colts will try to end a two-game losing streak this afternoon, and seek to win their first game over the Bengals in nearly four years.

Colts were in a seven game regular season winning streak between 1998 and 2010. Peyton Manning led the Colts to their last victory over the Bengals, winning 23-17, back on November 14, 2010.

Colts lead the all-time regular season series with 17 wins and 10 losses.  Colts defeated the Bengals in the first ever meeting in a rare playoff game, the Baltimore Colts winning 17-10 after the AFL-NFL Merger back of December 26, 1970.

LOS's roof should be closed for this afternoon's 1:05PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, because the game forecast outside the stadium area is 50 degrees, with 58% humidity, 0% precipitation, and mild west/southwest winds at 4 miles per hour.

Visiting Bengals are wearing their white jerseys, and black pants, while the host Colts are wearing their blue jerseys, and white pants.

NO injuries, win your fifth game, stay on top of the AFC South, and GO COLTS!!!!!  :cheer:  :ribbon:  :coltslogo:  :1colts:  :colts:  :ribbon:  :coltslogo:  :D

    • If we resign Houston, we'll have him and Turay to man the RDE spot.  With today's mobile QBs, I'm interested in getting a LDE who doesn't run around the RT to get tot eh QB...leaving a huge escape route.   I want an edge setting LDE.  A guy who engages the RT stoutly and holds his ground two yards into the LOS, keeping the mobile QB from running to his right, keeping him in the pocket for Buckner and Houston/Turay to get the sack.  (KC rushed two defenders from the left side of the D line because Josh Allen almost always rolls right.  He was stuck and flustered)
    • Not really I mean Eason was a fourth round pick.  Most QBs taken there or later don’t become starters overnight or even at all.  I’ve never really understood why so many here think he’s going to be the guy.
    • That's the other, other and anything is possible if you set your mind to it (I think?)
    • This is what I have seen. I mean Alabama typically has athletic pass rushers and he goes against them in practice everyday. To me this guy looks the most pro ready next to a Sewell, Darrisaw, or Slater. Referring to a 1st round LT type. I feel like many scouts are just saying they are RT or Guards to cover themselves.    I am curious to see more of what scouts have to say about Eichenberg. The little I have heard is that he has issues with speed. Not a great run blocker and looks like a RT.
    • I also heard on a different show that RIver may have been given the option of a "gentleman retirement" as opposed to being let go on the FA market. I think Ballard fully believes he can upgrade, as do I. Phil was alright, it was fun. I dont think anyone realistically thought we had a chance at beating the Bills and Chiefs though. I had hope, but from the start i didnt think Phil was a good enough upgrade to make it to the SB.  Was choked we didnt sign Brady, look wheres he is at.
