The pivotal game of the season

If the Colts beat Houston..

....there are enough Jacksonvilles and Tennessees (and NFC East teams) left on the schedule for the 4-2 Colts

to make the playoffs..and probably win the division

The win over Houston will also be a tiebreaker later...

Plus the Colts will get a 9-day bye to get ready for the final 10 games..which are wrapped around ANOTHER bye.

It will all be good. Happy action fun time...No worries. mate.

If the Colts lose tonight..

..they fall a game behind Houston and they wont have a tie breaker over them

they will need to beat Cincinnati in game seven or probably fall 2 games back with 9 to play...

..and the Dec.14 home game with Houston becomes a must game..or the Colts might not make the playoffs at all,

much less win the division...

The Kansas City Royals will win the World Series......ESPN will give up hyping limited ballplayers and the world will end as we know it..

This is the piovotal game of the 2014 season...

I suppose you could be right but there is so much football left after this game that it is hard for me to make too much out of it win or lose.  Let me alter that - if the Colts win, it will be hard for Houston to climb back into the division race.  But the Colts have such a distinct advantage at the most critical position in the game, that water will find its level and the Texans will have to overcome Fitzpatrick too many times this season.

In other words, this is a much bigger game for the Texans.

It will be a tie break but since the Colts have to play Houston again, this game is not the definitive tie break between the two teams.

We play them twice, so the tie breaker scenario hinges on one team winning twice.

A Houston win means Indy cannot win a tiebreaker on head to head.

An Indy win means Houston cannot do that....You cant win them both unless you win the first one

That plus a game lead is very, very signficant

I would have to call off work tomorrow
