Happy Monday for NFL Prime Time Game Night, Colts fans!  :)   Our Indianapolis Colts move on from their disappointing opening Sunday Night  road loss to Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.  Colts host the first of four inter conference matchup against NFC East teams in the 2014 NFL regular season,  as the Philadelphia Eagles, lead by second year Head Coach Chip Kelly, visit Indianapolis for a prime time matchup on ESPN's Monday Night Football.  Eagles are also making  both, their first regular season appearance in Indianapolis in eight years, and also their first visit to, and game,  with the Colts at  Lucas Oil Stadium.

Colts arein their first home game appearance on ESPN's Monday Night Football, since defeating the Houston Texans 31-17 at LOS, right after ther bye week,  back on November 1, 2010. Colts currently have a 20 win, 14 loss record at .588 in 34  Monday Night Football games   entering tonight.

Colts are also in their 35th appearance on Monday Night Football, a series that began when the  Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Colts in their first MNF appearance 44-24 played at Baltimore Memorial Stadium back on September 28, 1970.  Colts later that postseason defeated the Dallas Cowboys 16-13 to win Super Bowl V played at the Orange Bowl in Miami in January 17, 1971.

Tonight is the 19th all-time regular season meeting between Indianapolis and Philadelphia. Colts lead the series 10 games to 8, and the Colts outscored the Eagles in the previous 18 games entering tonight  438 points to 381.

Eagles unfortunately defeated our Colts 26-24  in the last regular season meeting played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, and on Thursday Night Football back on November 7, 2010.  Colts scored with a Jacob Tamme 3-yard TD reception from Peyton Manning, and two Javarris James TD runs from 6 and 1 yard runs, and Adam Vinatieri kicked  a 44-yard FG, and three PAT's.  But the Eagles won through a 9-yard TD reception by Michael Vick to DeSean Jackson, a Vick 1-yard TD run, and David Akers four field goals from 22, 21, 31, and 44 yards, and two PAT's to both win the game for the Eagles, and end the Colts four-game winning streak.

Indianapolis however,  defeated Philadelphia in the last regular season meeting played at the RCA Dome. Colts dominated that game over the Eagles, winning 45-21. Scoring highlights by the Colts included Joseph Addai's four touchdown runs from 15, 10, 15, and four yards, Peyton Manning's 11-yard TD pass to Reggie Wayne,  a 26-yard fumble return for a TD from Colts cornerback Kelvin Hayden, and Adam Vinatieri's 44-yard FG, and 5 PAT's.

Mike Tirico, and Jon Gruden are handling the live TV game commentary, along with sideline reporter and interviewer Lisa Salters, for ESPN's Monday Night Football seen live on national cable on HD.

Bob Lamey, our legendary 'Voice Of The Colts,' and former Colts QB Jim Sorgi are also announcing the live radio game play-by-play and analysis, along with sideline reporter and interviewer Matt Taylor, simulcast on flagship stations WFNI ESPN SportsRadio 1070AM, and WHLK 98.1FM, and the Colts/Vectren Radio Network.

LOS's roof should be closed to keep everyone dry and cool inside for the 8:30PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, because the local forecast outside in the stadium area, and Downtown Indianapolis is rain at 63 degrees,  76% humidity,  65% precipitation, and northwest winds at 7 miles per hour.

NO injuries to both the Colts and Eagles, but let's hope Coach Pagano, QB Andrew Luck, and the rest of the Colts win their first regular season game in front of their fans at LOS, and the international television audience.  Stay Colts Strong, and LET'S GO COLTS!!!!!      :cheer:     :coltslogo:     :helmet:   :blueshoe:     :1colts:  :colts:  :cheer:  :coltslogo:    :D

When I was moderating, I tried so hard to get something done about this; but my attempts were futile.  :(

However, I am happy to see that the situation is finally being addressed.  Good job!

Would love to see us score on the first drive, start hot. No more of this cement shoes act in the first half.

Hope Pags isn't as conservative early as he was last week. That 1st drive last week against the Broncos was painful. Lining up to attempt a 55 yard field goal with 1 yard to go for a first was not a smart move IMHO, especially playing against the Broncos.
