So, you don't see any chance that Luck will see the way they are building a solid team around Peyton now that he left the Colts and wish for the same thing?

Luck can't go anywhere. And the very idea that he's going to throw his hands up and try to force his way out of town is just ridiculous.

If no trade happens to replace him than any hope of a Colts Superbowl run is completely destroyed.  Even if he is replaced I am not sure that the Colts can come back from this.  He was literally by far the best player on the defense.  I think everyone needs to start tempering their expectations now and redefining success as making it to the playoffs.

ok the guy is a head case, but hes a proven pass rusher in a 3-4 scheme

Doesn't matter.  The dude is bad news.

Yet, AGAIN it is taking too long to build a solidified defense and a decent OL around what could be one of the best QB's of his generation...now why does that sound so familiar?

I personally expect Luck to figure this out and LEAVE INDY next contract.  He is smart enough to see this is what they did to Peyton, just like they are doing it to him, and he will get the heck out of dodge.

Good grief. This post is up there with some of the worst of the worst.

Forget Denver, how about Seattle and what Wilson has to work with? I mean you could play this game with any elite team but honestly Luck was picked number one overall by the worst team in football in 2011. I don't think he had any pretentions about the rebuild and the bumps that would come along.

I would look to trade for a pass rusher opposite Werner for this year. If Newsome can develop along with Werner and whoever we bring in, if Mathis is Healthy next year- we may have upto 4 capable pass rushers.

J-New will have to get involved more, and it will be a trial by fire for that young man.

Haven't you been saying this all offseason anyways?

No trade is coming, no hero is going to show up and save the day. This team just has to man up and get better, on both sides of the ball.

Yes, I have but it makes it that much more of a positive thing.  I can guarantee and will put money behind my words that the Colts will not make it to the Superbowl this year without Mathis barring some major trade.

Good for you. Let us know how much you make at the end of the season. Meanwhile, most of the rest of us will continue rooting for our team.
