Colts Vs. N.Y. Giants Preseason Game Night Thread

Recommended Posts

I can see that. But if the coaches have what they need at special teams I think Burley gets the nod because he covers better.

We need some one who is good at returning kicks. Colts usually struggle there. Hard to not go with a guy who is showing that he has that ability.

Griff is more reliable but isn't a big play threat. DaRick is on any given play. Just depends on which way the coaching staff wants to augment the receiving corps. Luck has plenty of reliable types in Wayne, T.Y. and possibly Nicks. DaRick adds size and explosiveness to the mix that Griff can't match.

Luck can get away with a bad pass with DR

I think they're going to keep both. Rogers is a big-play receiver, I agree. I just want him to be more consistent.

There's also Moncrief who the coaching staff has been high on. It will be interesting to see who they go with. It will go down to the wire. Colts are stacked at wideout.

If Purifoy locks down the PR job Griff will have one less feather in his cap

Agreed. Griff hasn't had much room to operate back there thus far.

Chandler is looking pretty good this drive

A turd with legs would do well out there right now.

Boom was doing pretty well. I would give Purifoy a look too. The kick return has almost been removed from the game almost every kicker can slam it deep in the end zone. It is the PR that can really help flip field position

    • i agree there is no day one starting qb in this draft, how many seasons is ballard going to waste ? use the cap money so we dont waste another season
    • You know it was only 1/100th of the fans left who booed, right.    If it was a fiasco, it was totally on Luck.
    • Ballard will not be taking a linebacker early at all and would be shocked if he did in this draft. Also, you're judging a rookie who has played minimal snaps and that hasn't played as much and is saying linebacker will be addressed in this draft. The guy needs more playing time! Lmao. I agree he has made mistakes, sure has. Every rookie does. Plus not every rookie is a Darious Leonard. Leonard has made plenty mistakes in the run this year as well as Walker. Walker was actually missing a bunch of tackles earlier in the season. All I'm saying is the guy is getting better every week and is making plays. Thats what happens when rookies start to play more. They get more adjusted to the speed, scheme, roles etc. An interception for 2 points. Has a forced fumble in the past 2 games. Walker is no scrub don't get me wrong but Okereke is ascending right now. Won't be shocked at all if he starts at the Mike position come 2020.
    • I think Wilson just resigned with the Seahawks. If we build a around a young guy we will be fine. The chiefs and ravens are doing just fine. We have to get through  the 2020 season first. With added weapons and everyone staying healthy we will be fine with Jacoby next season.
    • Since he'll be a FA at season's end, this claim being a move for the future only works if we sign him to a longer contract at some point before season's end.  If not, he's a FA and any team can sign him.   So, he'll have to get some playing time in front of AV in order to see if he's worthy of resigning, unless the Colts just want to evaluate him in practice, which I doubt.   I assume he'll play, and Vinny will sit.  Probably for more than just one game.   Vinny might be allowed to try to get his 600th FG, but I also assume Reich wants the best chance to win games.   And Irsay had to do something.  The boos came out because of  the way the team looked in the second half (not just AV).  A sentimental attitude goes out the window when the mob brings the pitchforks to the castle.
