we have to figure out the CB position. Davis is not a number 1 corner. He got burnt way too many times last year to be a shut down corner

Vontae will be a stud this year. He graded out as a top corner last year with a very limited pass rush (outside of Mathis). He is just scratching the surface of his potential. As others have mentioned, all corners get burned here and there; however, not all corners have Vontae's shut down, game changing ability. I couldn't be happier that he's our guy!

8 years. . . I have no idea why a player would sign more then a 5 year deal personally.  

 

That sort of deal is likely heavily in the Cowboy's favor by quite a bit.
