Predicting the Season

Narcosys

Recommended Posts

I did this last year round about the same time in the season.  I predicted the Chiefs would go 13-3 and everyone called me crazy.  They unfortunately went 12-4 because they didnt split with Denver like i thought they would.  So here it is again.  Went through every game week by week.

NFC

East

Cowboys - 9-7

Giants - 7-9

Redskins - 7-9

Eagles - 8-8

West

Cardinals - 9-7

49ers - 10-6

Hawks - 11-5

Rams - 7-9

North

Bears - 10-6

Packers - 11-5 (-1)

Lions - 8-8

Vikings - 4-12

South

Falcons - 9-7

Panthers - 11-5

Saints - 13-3 (-2)

Bucs - 2-14 (+2)

AFC

East

Bills - 8-8

Patriots - 12-4

Dolphins - 4-12

Jets - 3-13 (+2)

West

Broncos - 12-4

Chiefs - 8-8 (+2)

Raiders - 5-11

Chargers - 8-8 (-1)

North

Ravens - 7-9

Bengals - 10-6

Steelers - 8-8

Browns - 6-10 (-1)

South

Texans - 9-7

Colts - 10-6 (-1)

Jags - 2-14 (+2)

Titans - 7-9

I've added the parenthesis to show that i can see a few places that they could win or lose a few more, that its a toss up.

For the playoffs i have

NFC

1. Saints

2. Packers.

3 Hawks.

4. Cowboys

5. Panthers

6. 49ers.

With the Packers and 49ers in the NFCCG

AFC

1. Patriots

2. Broncos

3 Bengals

4. Colts

5. Chiefs

6. Bills

WIth the Colts and Broncos in the AFCCG (maybe a little hopeful, but i do believe we can beat the Patriots.)

Anyone else got any ideas?

Stopped reading when you had the Cowboys winning the NFC East

But in all seriousness, other than the cowboys prediction good work

I stopped when I had to strain my eyes to read the out of order records lol but here's mine (I'm bored).

NFC

East

Giants - 10-6

Redskins - 9-7 (if RGIII's knee is finally all better)

Eagles - 7-9

Cowboys - 6-10

West

 49ers - 13-3

 Seahawks - 10-6

Cardinals - 8-8

Rams - 6-10

North

Packers - 6-10

Bears - 5-13

{ Not really lol...but the Packers will take the junk division once again and go 1 and done

Vikings - 3-13

Lions - 1-15

South

Falcons - 10-6

Panthers - 9-7

Saints - 9-7

Bucs - 6-10

AFC

East

Patriots - 11-5

Jets - 9-7

Bills - 7-9

 Dolphins - 5-11

West

Broncos - 12-4

Chiefs - 10-6

Chargers - 8-8

Raiders - 4-12

North

Ravens - 10-6

Bengals - 10-6

Steelers - 7-9

Browns - 6-10 ( but if Johnny Football comes in at 0-6ish and has a Cinderella season...who knows)

South

Colts - 11-5

Jags - 8-8

Titans - 8-8

Texans - 4-12

They would of had a better record but I kept in mind their December tanking. With the other teams schedules I think they can pull it off. Tnx

These are always fun. Good lists, though I would make a few changes.

Division Winners NFC: Seahawks, Falcons, Bears, Eagles or Redskins for the East, not sure which yet

Division Winners AFC: Chargers, Texans, Bengals, Patriots

Not sure yet how exactly all of the records shake up, but can see 49ers, Saints, Colts, and of course the Broncos making the playoffs as well to finish up the seeding. I'll wait till after TC or maybe even preseason before updating my predictions and thoughts on teams.

I just don't see that defense stopping anyone this year

Sean Lee is already gone....again. Literally no one on that defense

Fitz is going to have to have an amazing season.

Fitz is going to have to have an amazing season.

Eh, I wouldn't go that far, but I don't think he needs to in order to keep the offense run the way the HC wants him to. If he can cut down on his infamous turnovers and play smart football, which he is capable of, then things will be okay I think. I wouldn't complain though if he did blow everyone out of the water though haha

So you have the three best teams in the league not making the playoffs? I don't think you understood the question

I just did SB predictions. And who may come close and who is a dark horse. I think Denver/Seattle should make the playoffs again but fall short once there. 49ers up in the air.....not high on them like many right now.

Like yeah totally, the Saints dropping at 9-7 is so believable when they were the only team in the entire playoffs last year that had a top 3 ranked offense and defense.

I think the NFC South division is the toughest division in all of football behind the NFC West. Even the Bucs won't be a gimee win.
