What About This Scenario

Recommended Posts

We end up with the 3rd or 4th pick (Could happen) AND Peyton can't come back.

Do we trade up to get luck? Do we take Barkly if he is availbale or trade up for him. How about Jones?

Take a chance on one of the second round QB's? AAGH! it's been a long time sence we have had to think this way.

Just curious what you close followers of college ball thought.

Trading up for Luck would be very expensive.

Under that scenario.... I would try to trade down to around the #7 - #10 pick and draft CB Claiborne or Kirkpatrick and then consider QBs Robert Griffin III or Nick Foles with our 2nd round pick.

If Peyton cannot return as you said.... then we are in full rebuilding mode and have alot of things to address.

IMO.... the talent spread between the top 3 or 4 "other" QBs besides Luck dictates that a trade-down is the better way to go.

absolutely no way should the Colts trade up for anyone in the first round. This kind of move is typically done by teams who feel they have most of their pieces in place and simply need that one final piece to complete the puzzle. That's definitely not the Colts' situation.

There is NO reason to trade up for Luck. We already have him. Why must you always be so wrong and off in your posts? And you even posted this today?? Our only winnable game is next against Jacksonville and this weekend already proved how well that turned out for us.

You are seriously pathetic. I never said we wouldn't get the #1 pick, I was simply responding to the OP's what-if scenario.
