The Colts only pass-rusher is in his mid-30's. Marcus Smith is a player that can excel at different spots. Be it rushing from a 2-point stance, rushing with his hand in the dirt as a 43 DE, or even kicking inside as an under-tackle in pass rush situations. IMO, Smith's strength-to-power is 2nd in this class to only Jadeveon Clowney.

61. 49ers - Keith McGill, CB, Utah

62. Patriots - Cyril Richardson, G, Baylor

63. Broncos - Gabe Jackson, G, Mississippi State

64. Seahawks - Dom Easley, DT, Florida

I think more people at looking at what they hope will happen, as opposed to what it more realistic. With the interest they've shown in him, I think Bucannon is more than likely our 2nd round pick if he's there. They've went to his pro day, met with him at the combine, and brought him in for a visit.

I also think Marcus Roberson is a likely target in the 2nd or 3rd round. I really don't like the CB's from Florida, but Grigson would jump at the chance to get a guy with the measurable that Roberson has.

The Colts have shown just as much interest in Smith as they have in Bucannon..

Didn't here about them bringing him to Indy for a visit, but that's my fault. He's a candidate too for sure, but most people seem to like him a lot more than Bucannon. I think Bucannon is more realistic. He's likely to be there too. Smith might be gone by 59. You draft BPA but I think they'd rather take a Safety at 59 over an OLB who won't start.

if guys like sanchez ponder and locker get drafted in the first round, no way bridgewater falls that far

That's what they said about Geno Smith. Besides, he would have got taken if this had trades. I agree, he won't fall to the 2nd.

Dustin....

I agree with you.   I think the Colts will take an EDGE rusher before a safety at 59.   Now, let's hope that one the Colts like is there when we pick.

I just get the sense they are confident they'll find someone at 90,  OR, they'll trade back early in the 4th round and pick up extra picks and find their safety in the 4th round.

That feels like the way we're headed, and I'd be perfectly fine with that.   That is, provided we can find someone that can contribute in his rookie year.    That's paramount!

Remember, everything is obvious in hindsight....   if things were that obvious ahead of time,  no team would ever make a mistake.

This drafting thing.....   it just aint easy!
