That's stupid one little mistake that we don't know really is one until after this season.

Yes...I still fully believe Richardson has the chance to be a premier back in this league and I won't believe otherwise till after this season with a full training camp in our system and an improved line.

If were serious about running the ball.

Fire Grigson, hire Charlie

His comments are like the definition of making a problem even worse. As poor a decision as it was to give up a first for Trent to compound the issue with a knee jerk reaction and cut him...cost us the money...and sign an aging vet runner that is likely on the downside of his career...that would be even dumber. If CJ thought it was bad trying to find holes to run through in Tennessee just wait to hear him complain here lol. I'm hoping Trent will learn and become a better back....at this point we have to own up to the mistake and ride it out.

What QB has CJ played with that could unstack the box for him? I'll wait.

What QB has Richardson played with that could un stack the box? I'll wait.... Oh wait, that Andrew Luck guy. Not that I'm a TRich hater, I think he'll do well, but you point is kind of pointless. CJ ran for 2000 yards with no QB, AP runs for 2K with no QB, MJD has run for 1500 with no QB...

There is a reason why he talks about this stuff on the NFL network and doesn't make decisions.

You have to give him at least a full training camp with this team before writing him off.

CJ2K is a solid player but we don't really need a RB.

I don't know about Johnson, but sadly I predict they will have to, in the not-so-distant future, move on from Richardson.  No RB, #1 pick or not, can stay in the league long performing at that level.  Were a 6th rounder spent on him, he might already be gone.

Im going to up this thread when CJ is beasting with a real qb and team. Hopefully he goes to the nfc

So not very often... sadly Chris Johnson is at the end of his career, and likely won't be as good as he once was. We shall see if a good team signs him.

We'll see how he does this year before I call the bust nonsense. If he sucks it up this year I will admit. Don't think it's easy to have 3 oc's in less than 2 years. Get traded mid season and run behind a bad line. And before you start with the brown crap how he do the previous years?

Yes, we do need a RB.

    • Yeah sort of like a Flanker, next to the TE. That would be interesting, he has the talent, size, and speed to do so but his route running is questionable like you basically said. I do think he makes the 53 so we will see.
    • Something that would be interesting to me is seeing Patmon work at Z if his route running and ball tracking is up to snuff. I think he's fast enough, just not sure he'd be good on cuts. I'd love to see a 9 or backshoulder though.
    • Reggie Wayne used to workout in Miami during the offseason and the league was ok with it and so was Irsay. I don't see the big deal with working out away from the teams facility, several players do it.
    • This is such a cluster.   The NFLPA is really looking out for the veteran players that they feel are established and do not need to go to voluntary things and that they want to protect from excessive team activities etc.   They are 100% not looking out for young or unestablished players trying to crack a roster, keep a job or make a name for themselves.   Also, this stuff is right in contracts. Literally all the players, agents, NFLPA reps know this or should know this. They even have acknowledged that players w $ tied to workout bonuses would likely attend because they are not trying to mess with players' money and livelihood. And yet they did just that by trying to have them work out away from team facilities.   This would totally make sense last year w COVID running crazy. Thinking facilities might not be safe health-wise around a lot of ppl. But this year it was a power grab to try to limit off-season and pre-season workouts and activities.   I always loved the Peyton Manning quote about Marvin Harrison saying "They pay you to practice, the games you play for free. "   At the end of the day this is one of those things where i truly want to feel bad for the players but i have a hard time feeling bad for them. they are just getting terrible guidance and listening to it. hopefully players make wise decisions since this is their livelihood at the end of the day.   I may be in the minority but if it were me id be at the team facility covering my butt and my check lol
    • Harris could make it too I agree. We have some overall talent here. It will be interesting to see what Reich does.
