Eli was ridiculed terribly when he said he was a top 5 QB in the preseason. Well, he's hanging right in there in 3rd or 4th place for QB ranking and has the #1 rank in the 4th quarter.

Hope he can keep it up because the next stretch is brutal: @NE, @sanFran, vs. Philly, @Saints, vs. GreenBay

One of the talking heads at ESPN agrees with you. Games against NE, 49ers, Eagles, Saints and Pack will cause him a lot of grief. Eagles have found their mojo and they looked mighty good last night.

Eli is on my list of scorn right now. He had my hopes up that both the Rams and the Dolphins were going to get their first win of the season within 15 minutes of each other......and then he crushed those hopes.

I will say that Eli is one of the best playing right now, but he put himself in the company of his brother and Mr Brady, two HoF "legends" of the game. It's not even necessarily that I disagree with him. It's that you don't expect a professional to make that comparison for himself, of himself. It seems dubious but I do not recall the context of his remarks.

lol....don't cha love how the media warps things. I never heard the exact quote in context. The story I remember reading about that was saying "Eli compares himself to Peyton/Brady".

Yes, Eli is a Top 5 - 6 QB. I don't fault him for saying that.
