Arguing with a ref = blaming them for a loss? Every player argues with refs every once in a while. Especially for such ridiculously bad calls as that one. The Pats three losses this year were all on bad calls, that's empirical evidence that they don't get ANY special treatment. And no one here in Boston was crying like you after those games.

Show me ONE example of Brady blaming someone other than himself or the team for a loss.

If you think the Colts and EVERY other NFL team wasn't doing the EXACT same thing the Pats were ..then you're the most naive little lamb on Earth. Grow up.

Your team got a good old fashioned beat down. Not owning it just makes you even weaker.

Where is your evidence that every team was cheating like that Pats? Is that how you justify it?

I'm sure there is footage of Tom Terrific or Belichick blaming someone else out there. They are not the saints that you proclaim them to be.

I never denied that we got the screws put to us or that we failed to execute. I'm simply saying that the refs done one heck of a job to extend your drives and shorten ours.

Who is weaker? A person who points out terrible officiating or a person who thinks cheating is ok because "everyone else is doing it?"

There are a whole bunch of folks in Indy that need to get a life. Even if 'we' had won your life would still be as miserable as it obviously is. You would still have to go to work tomorrow. You would still have to save up for that new Peyton Broncos jersey. And you would still have a green eyed monster preventing you from anything but jealous hatred for all things New England.

Yes we are the evil empire. Head butting a player with his helmet off is the epitome of sportsmanship ...

Sure tripping the other team's star player when the game is decided and then having teammates, coaches and the head coach give congrats as you come to the sidelines, very classy. In contrast to Walden who's actions were neither celebrated by the staff but rather pointed out to all as something that can't happen. You're comparing two similar player actions without taking note of whom it is that reinforces those actions and whom it is that does not.

What poor sportsmanship did you witness? Did a Patriot rip the helmet off of a Colts player when they were out of bounds? Luck as he escaped from the pocket in the 4th quarter (clearly shown on the replay)

Luck was tripped and ruled down by contact as he tried to escape the pocket at the end of the game. It was a missed penalty (clearly shown on the replay) so what,  that happens. The poor sportsmanship that occurs is the congrats of the staff including the head coach as the player comes to the sideline. Players who lose control or play outside the rules (all players on any team) should be immediately corrected when they come to the sidelines. I coached and that's what I believe and I always did.... call me old fashion.....no coach should encourage players to play outside the rules or congratulate them for doing so.

Thank goodness we have posters like you who are so above it all.

Don't get a nosebleed so high up on your pedestal.

All the righteous indignation about the Pats 'cheating' is fine with you. But my post strikes a nerve?

People are angry. It's a typical reaction to a loss. They're wrong, but they're also aren't telling people they have "obviously miserable lives."

Anyone who is still upset over yesterday needs help. It's a game. It has no effect on your life beyond entertainment.

That's awesome for you and your infinite clarity, but some people are more emotional about their sports.

That's their prerogative.

Again.

Ninkovich and Vellano were both held on that play. What's your point?

That the refs screwed up twice?

I do like your "We got held" angle, much better then the "LALALALA NO ONE TRIPPED ANYBODY!!" approach but it isn't making the case that we weren't wrong on that play.

Two fouls equal replay the down. So we are all in agreement that the refs mistake cost the Colts and not the Pats.

Why are you guys here just to be trolls?? There are only a few pats fans here that aren't trolls and actually carry on conversations. You are definitely not one if them

You have not read any of my posts then as I have been mostly discussing the game on other threads. But this ref stuff is over the top IMO.

I think that "this ref stuff" is pretty typical, especially after a loss and when a former head of officiating agrees that many calls were missed.  I believe that a lot of the frustration stems from the overall poor job the officials have done this season.  BTW, I do not consider you a troll.

other then new England , the only nfl team ever since started nfl got caught cheating too win their games and sb's.  only reason still have them is cause the greed in nfl . cheat too win , most time refs let them . it make money and ratings.

New England coaches reaction to congratulate players for dangerous illegal play but I guess now I would have to add on  that if you didn't agree with my first 2 posts on this that you're probably a Patriot's fan....okay.....if you didn't understand the post you're also obtuse.

You are consistently making ever damn thread a Brady vs Manning. You have this love affection for Brady cause he does no wrong and also wins every game by himself according to you

see your still here trying believe your nonsense about refs. google this group of refs worst in nfl too do favs for new England too win . a lot non calls on new England would got colts 2 td and none for ne.

Even in your fantasy world, if you removed 2 TDs from New England and gave them to Indy, they still lose the game.

Colts = 4 penalties for 42 yards

Patriots = 4 penalties for 35 yards

Bottom line, the Colts gave up 234 yards rushing and 6 TDs on the ground.  They have 4 turnovers, 1 of them nearly a pick 6 in the opening drive of the game.  The Patriots held the ball 10 minutes longer in time of possession.

That is why you lost, so stop trying to pretend like the Refs just handed the Patriots a win they didn't deserve when they clearly dominated the line of scrimmage all night long and imposed their will on the Colts defense with their ground attack.

To paraphrase Anchorman...."I hate you, Patriots, with every fiber of my being! But DAMMIT, I RESPECT YOU."

To see the Pats just plug guys in and still have success is a testament to their coaching and scouting. And it all begins with BB. Actually his father, Steve. It has been talked about ad nauseum but there is a common thread between some very successful coaches: time spent at Service Academies:

BB's dad coached at Navy for decades. He learned under him, and has taken that and won with it.

Bob Knight coached at Army before his run of success at IU. At the end it got away from him, but he was one of the best in his day.

Mike Kryshereeererski (you know who) played for Knight at Army, coached there before going on to Duke

My point is, all 3 are pretty well known as disciplinarians. Knight took it too far when times changed, Coach K. adapted. BB is pretty strict too, and isn't afraid of benching or cutting a guy for performance issues/locker room conflicts.

All 3 are also highly regarded for their coaching prowess. Knight was revolutionary with his motion offense and man to man defense.

BB hasn't reinvented the wheel, but his situational coaching is the best I've seen. Last night was a perfect example. Running running running, putting that tall rookie LB on Fleenor, switching things up, etc. He just gets it done.

I don't necessarily like him, and he can be a bit of a poor sport, as Bob Knight was (a bit worse but you get my point. Both don't suffer fools, especially the media). But there is no denying his coaching ability. This is the man that took a 6th round draft pick that was benched his senior season at Michigan, and turned him into a HOF QB. That is some good coaching. And yes I know Brady has had great defenses, but he has done well with much lesser defenses too.

Ok, that is my one and only boot-licking of BB....but you have to give credit where it's due

Jimmy Johnson said he was taught to film handsignals during his first job. Bill Parcels said a lot of the people accusing Belichik of cheating have awfully short memories because every team has a specialist whose job is to figure out signs.

Are you even familiar with the rule Belichik supposedly broke? It was about where the cameras were located. not that they existed.

Weak dopes like you like to hang the pats with a "cheater" sign because they've ben handing your team beatings for a long time and it makes you feel better to try to belittle them. The fact is your team lost. They lost fair and square but losers like you will cry and cry about cheating because you aren't man enough to accept that your team is not as good as the most depleted and inexperienced Pats team in years.

Pats fans don't care because they are used to getting calls handed to them tho

That's absurd. The Pats lost three games on crazy calls this year alone. One of their losses was on a call that HAD NEVER BEEN MADE BEFORE.

That's empirical evidence and absolute proof that they get the same calls everyone else does.

And 148-43 with him and 18-7 in the post-season with three lombardis.

Your point was that the Pats will be awful without Brady. I've proven that they are above average with or without him.

What I've really done is prove you 100% absolutely and completely incorrect.

I doubt I'm the first and I'm sure I won't be the last.

When did I say that? I hope the Pats are not awful without him and I have little reason to believe they will be unless they get a total bum at QB which will not happen with Bill and company assuming he stays with NE post Brady. My point is that the Pats have been historic with Brady and that will never be duplicated. Brady is a once in a lifetime QB. I have no illusions about that.

Honestly, I didn't think the patriots were that good this year before the game, I thought we would run the ball on them, & Andrew would play well. Didn't think they could run like the did on us. What happened was an old fashion beat down on us the Patriot OL kicked the % out of us mauled us & wore us down, They can run block, they struggled a little with pass blocking I think they know that I hit us hard with the run. NE defense played WAY BETTER than I thought they would again controlling the line of scrimmage, even with our OL didn't see that coming, given Andrews mistakes,4 picks 2 IMO his fault, we had a chance late in the game an Laid an egg. There were some bad calls, none calls for both teams 2 hurt us badly & should have been called the trip on Andrew a penalty, but also dangerous for players safety, & the hold around the waist of Brazel on 3rd down. Both would have been first downs prolonged drives & MAYBE?? provided a different outcome. Even given that, The Patriots out played us & out coached us & as much as I hate the Patriots they deserved to win the game & physically punished us. Couldn't stop the run, our OL manhandled, 4 Picks enough said.  To the Colts credit we hung in there & still had a shot.Time to work on next year!

I think people are too tough on the Colts at times too. From the players to Pagano who in reality was just coaching his first full season as head coach in this league. We ARE a good team but certainly need some polishing. Obviously we were better when healthier but then again that's the norm with any team. A bad team does not hand Denver/Seattle their first losses of the year, beat KC twice and blow out SF on the road.

We got played with in NE. It has happened in the past to us and it has happened to MANY teams vs. the Patriots. It's battling the cream of the crop and we are not there yet. However we get another shot next year at home to see what we can do......

In fact, I won't be stunned if New England wins it all in a year most were counting them out due to their injuries.

Yes, it was incredible how the entire Patriots roster stood their yelling "nice trip!" because that's just how clear it was.
