Anyways, I will have my own opinions and I will respect people opinions. I like to make controversial threads. Fans don't like when someone blames them and I blame the COLT fans for being inconsiderate people. They want everyone fired just because we are playing bad with our best player out.

If Manning was still playing and we had a winning record these same people would not be talking about firing Polian or Caldwell. But of course it's only my opinion.

They think they control this forum.

they also team up together and give out negative points. They work together to achieve this. I tried to combat them with giving out positive points to the dude they torchered the other day. But there is too many of them.

Please do something about this because they are not fair to the rest of the people here. There shouldn't be any posse allowed.

I think the original spirit of this thread was to point out that with such an emotionally disappointing season, there are some tempers on edge and perhaps people are being a little reactionary in their postings here and attacking each other with more zeal then we typically see. As well, there are way too many thoughtless threads being opened just for the sake of venting and people are getting sick of it.

I don't think this thread was meant for making accusations about being picked on unfairly. The irony being, that will get you picked on.

I haven't seen this at all. Sometimes people have different opinions than you, sure, everyone has a different opinion here or there. But ganging up in posses? I doubt that. A LOT of people are up in arms about how this franchise is run, I am one of them. That's our opinion, and until we see improvement in our team, and start having confidence in the way our staff handles things, then we will continue to be up in arms about it. We're still fans. We just have grown tired of it. Whats the difference between a team that makes the playoffs 10 years straight and wins one SB, and a team that misses the playoffs 9 out of 10 seasons, and wins one SB. Not much my friend. Not much... It would seem the team thats more of a failure is the one who could only win one, out of 10 shots it had. While the other team, took advantage of its one shot.

I am not sure if this may be against the rules, posting/"reopening" a close thread, but was on the "please chill" thread on my late lunch hour and had a "few" things to say and when I replied, the thread was already closed, and I was thinking whether I should give my thoughts, and as I spent more than a few moments on my reply, I am taking a chance and putting in my two cents, please do not feel the need to respond and close if necessary . . .

this was my response . . .

"I am going to jump in here if I may . . . as a pats fan, and therefore emotionally removed from the PM health situation and to an extent everything Colts, it may be easier for me to look at things with less emotion . . . having lost TB in 2008 I can relate to some of the emotions swirling around the colts fan base . . . it isn't easy to have lost your top player and one year from your teams SB contending run . . . which, for both of our franchises, seems to be on the back stretch if a replacement is not garnered in the future . . .

I have been mulling around this forum here and there and reading some of the threads . . . I have not taken the time to poke my nose into some of the colts related threads regarding the season, next years draft, the off season, reasons for the 0-7 and anything else even tho on occasion I have had an opinion, but have made a comment or two tho. . .

There are a lot of valid threads on here and surely it is nice to come on here to discuss one's team and how to fix the existing situation and to voice one's opinion as to the source or sources of the problems . . . and in many cases there is a majority opinion as to the source of a specific problem . . . but as none of us are in the locker room, we really do not know what exactly is going on and what is the actual "right" or "wrong" answer . . . hey, maybe the minority opinion is the "right" answer . . .

with the above said, I have seen on some/few occasions when one of the minority opinions voices his/her opinion on the matter, say for example "it is not Caldwell fault" I have seen on occasions that poster receive some minus reputations points and also other posting taking shots at the poster, say for example "[poster name] is really Jim Caldwell" . . . and for me both counts are incorrect . . . I do not really know what the rules are for -/+ on the reputation button but for me one should not get a minus reputation for simple voicing a minority opinion, nor should the poster receive several “who are you to post” post . . . and it has happened and really shouldn’t, so to this extent I agree with poster who feel this should not happen . ..

who knows, perhaps there are posters who come on here to raze the fan base and take the minority opinion just to rub salt into the wound, and there may be a presumption that one is like that if one is new and taking the minority opinion, but until we get a “true” identification of this person, we should hold off, let them come here and join the group and voice an opinion without several response and/or minus rep pts . . . again this has not happen a lot, but I have seen if a few times . . .

so it is understandable that some may be on edge and not overly happy about the present situation, but just as the OP said, we just need to calm down, don’t take shots at others who are voicing the minority opinion and let the mods, who do a great job, take care of business if one of the posters is getting too frisky with the minority opinion and/or its trying instigate a fight . . . .

I love to come to this forum for many reasons one of which is the enjoyable interaction . . . but when I see people taking shots at others, it kind of reminds me of another forum, I won’t mention the name but it is south of Hartford and north of Philadelphia . . . and although it is a forum I have visited, some of the trash talking can get kind of old fast . . . this forum had never been like that, save for the annual Brady v. Manning “discussion”, and when it does creep in that direction, there is nothing wrong with talking a step back for a while . . .
