He's not on injured reserve because they think he's going to play again this year.

Just like everybody else who's injured but not on injured reserve..

So we are keeping him on the active roster for PRACTICE? Really? PRACTICE? What are you going to learn from practice? Why does it have to be a practice in this season? What cant you learn from just seeing him throw to a highschool kid in parking lot after the season? He either has the arm strength or he does not. You really need PRACTICE to determine his mental ability? Your kidding me...

What if he plays later in the season...how do we handle that if we want to keep the top pick?

Manning is a workaholic. As soon as he's 100% cleared, he will work his tail off to be as good as possible, no matter what time of year it is. He wants to go out there and throw the routes, work with the line, develop his WR's, get his cadence back, get his timing back.

I don't know about you, but if we're going to win any more Super Bowls with him, I would rather he gets as much time as he can with the team as early as he can.

I don't think Peyton should go on IR. If he's healthy we should start him this year, so he's not rusty at the beginning of next year.
