He's probably not going past 17 for the Cowboys. I've been listening to their draft podcast and they are hoping against hope he slips to them(usually I take what podcasts say with a grain of salt, but in the past they've had great insight into what their front office is thinking - they got the LVE pick right, they got Tristan Hill pick right and multiple others. They seem to have some internal knowledge about what their FO likes and targets.)
On Love’s 2018 season he had 32 TDs and 6 picks.
In 2019, Love lost his head coach, his OC, and 9 of his 10 offensive starters. Are you not aware of this? It’s been written everywhere.
When a player goes from very good to very poor there’s typically a good reason for it.
I'm all for a Rivers/Rook combo. It will keep fans vested in a year or two with Rivers, while also giving them hope for the future. I'm totally against drafting a rook and keeping JB as the mentor/bridge though. That's a recipe for locker divide, and bad fan behavior. Fans would have zero patience and want to see the rook yesterday. I'd prefer going with a rook day 1 over that scenario.
