If their correct, a couple people posted saying that he's on contract for 3 years. Not sure if that's right though.

yep i know that, hes pretty cheap from what i remember someone saying too. im just referring to afterwards, when/if he improves for the league to really notice him as a great WR. basically i want him to be a reggie and not a mike wallace

From what I've seen Da'Rick is on a 2 year contract, that includes this year.

He's under contract for 3 years, including this year, and then he is a restricted free agent.  So we more than likely have him for this season and the next 2 for around the minimum, and then another year at his RFA tender.  Rogers won't be an UFA until 2017.

He plays for peanuts right now. I would expect him to want a restructure if he comes up big to close out the season.

why even waste your time

Grow up, and learn to respect your elders. Just because I don't want to jump on the bandwagon yet, doesn't give you the right to tell me what I can and cannot write. He's played 2 games, and contributed in only one, and he hasn't impressed me yet. Until he can do it consistently week after week, I refuse to call him "the second coming of Jerry Rice" as some people believe. And its their right to believe what they want, and to write what they want, you don't see me criticizing people saying he's going to score 7 TD's and have 800 yards. Its their right to put what they want, and not your right to tell me I'm wasting my time. Especially from a rookie poster, who doesn't even know me, or how I choose to think.

I've been around too many years, and seen too many flash in the pans, to know better than to jump right away, until proven otherwise. And, given his history of getting into trouble, makes me wary that he could turn at any given moment. As a Colts fan, I hope he does well, turns his life around, and produces for years to come. I've seen 1..that's right 1 good game from him. Its my right to think that he could possibly fail, because, unlike TY, (who has produced since day 1), Da;Rick hasn't shown me anything but potential. Also, consider, that it takes time to develop the chemistry with your QB, and he hasn't played enough with Luck, to have that yet. If and when he can consistently produce good numbers, and prove that he's not another DHB, will my opinion of him change. He has all the potential in the world, and has another shot. I hope he doesn't blow it. But, I have seen better players, with bigger potential crumble and fail. I hope he's not another one..I've got to see it to believe it.

UDFA's cannot renegotiate their contract until the regular season is over in their 2nd season.  So he will have to play for peanuts for at least next year too.

And this is why some people from my generation dislike people from your generation. The lack of respect goes both ways contrary to popular belief.
