He wasn't paid to stop the run. He did exactly what the coaches wanted him to do. Mathis is just about the same thing.  :D

Yes he was. He was paid to be a football player. And he wasn`t. He was a pass rush specialist who played too many plays.

Very overrated and the easiest, free when they needed it, 5+ yards in the History of the NFL. A defense killer.

But he was flashy beating up the weaker, the lame, and backups, in the Regular season.

Are a few of you saying Tamme because he is doing descent this year with the Broncos, or did you think he was underrated while a Colt ?

Tamme is what Peyton Manning makes him.  Like so many, many others that Peyton made a "someone".  Peyton should have gotten / should get 50% of the gross pay of paychecks of probably 20 receivers & tight-ends formerly and currently in the NFL.

Over Manning may be the best season QB in history but he choked way to many time in the big games without Bob Sanders we would have never won that SB him coming back we went from the worst D to a top D that year .

Under Phillip Wheeler I was so disappointed when we didn't even offer him a contract to keep playing in Indy

It seems to me that you should blame the coach for demanding that he play that way.  :D

How could anyone possibly know?

Very true. I'm just going on the hype to what he has actually produced.

If you exclude Rodgers i'd have to say either Gary Brackett or Dwight Freeney (to be fair i'm just saying that because since i have been a fan of the colts he has not performed to the hype that he is the best pass rusher in the nfl)

Ellis Johnson was not half the player Tony McCoy was.     And Dom Rhodes was never given the credit he deserved.    Albert Bentley and Jason Belser were both STUDS back in the day,

Over rated?     Only one really comes to mind..     Fred Young, Indy gave up 2 1's for this dud.

Al this is true except Johnson was very good & McCoy was good to & far MORE underrated than Johnson.
