Whose Bright Idea Was It To Run No Huddle At The Beginning?

I am not a big fan of 18to88, but Nate had a nice quote in his article.

Someone on the Indianapolis Colts staff added these components up and came to this conclusion:

Curtis Painter+Dome road game+high powered offense on the other side of the field+a bottle of Jack Daniels=RUN A NO HUDDLE OFFENSE!

Seriously, who in their right mind thought it was a great idea to open the game with a young QB, on the road, in a Dome, and going against one of the most high powered offense in the entire NFL?

You saw from the moment we started that communication was a problem and guys like JA and the WRs were confused on what the calls were. Why not slow the game down, huddle up, and try to do what teams do to Manning all of the time.

Instead we decided to play right into the hands Saints.

People are crapping on Coyer and Caldwell. Lets not forget that Christensen help play a part of the most humiliating lost in Colts history.

Yea,I couldn't really understand why the no huddle myself.Especially after the 2 or 3 times when everyone was jumping around, completely confused yet they continued to use it.You would think the bad snap would have been enough for someone to say well, maybe this is a bad idea.

we always run no-huddle......

We just messed it up...

Yeah we always run it when Peyton Manning is playing. The 14 year veteran who has won the MVP award four times and has the offense tailored to meet his every needs.

News flash to our coaching staff, that is not Peyton Manning out there. That is Curtis Painter who has a grand total of four starts in his entire career. It is ludicrous to try and run the system the way Manning does when you have such a young QB out there. They need to tailor the offense around Painter not try and force Painter into the round peg that only Manning can fit in.

But show...we ran no-huddle vs. KC.....

...we ran no-huddle in Tampa...

We always run no-huddle..

Tailoring the offense to Curtis IS the no-huddle....we up the tempo...

Kerry C. could not run it...Painter can..

He just had a very, very bad night... It is what it is.

And what is frustrating is this team has shown all year long the ability to run the ball. Honestly, I would rather see Addai, Carter, and Brown running the ball then Painter in the no huddle to start the game. What is so wrong with running?? Even in the Super Bowl, Addai was running fine but got away from that.
