Is this actually a good thing?

The deep drops on D are Forcing Andrew to throw to the open guys underneath.
Something he seems to have an aversion to. Practice Practice Practice

Thank goodness they got the Linkster in there. Gotta wonder how Hughes is progressing.
Huh Irsay? Could he be Worse than Samson? Seems nearly Impossible.

 One game one loss.

Brown impressed in the passing game. I don't understand our team. We seem to have this identity crisis we think we are a power running team, we play our games like a power running team, then when we are down 20-30 points, we realize get away from being a power running team and move the ball. Today was just a bad game all around. Reminds me of the Jets game last year.

I'm a firm believer that losing a ballgame is never a good thing.  I'd rather work on things etc with a W at the end of the day, not a L.

Sounds good but we have a kid that who trades taking what the D gives him for shots downfield into coverage.

Pep has tried to design this away from him, but today press coverage (and our line) seriously exposed his lack of accuracy downfield. BTW, a few weeks back PM was completing 40% of his passes beyond 20 yds. Those throws are just low %age.

Andrew needs to get his short game head screwed on straight!

The kind of stuff I will expect him to be really good at midway thru year 4. He is a great kid.

Jeff Fischer was all over it today.

No....losing at home....not a potential positive in any way..

This was a game we needed....with 4 difficult road games to play.

9-7 may not get us in

Very up and down team. Beat Denver , SF, and Seattle, lose at home to Miami , and then get crushed by 30 points at home to St. Louis. I would be concerned.

Simply again, Andrew was Forced to throw short of which he seems to hate.

ANYONE with general FB  knowledge knows we MUST improve our short passing game, including screens and such,  and most have been calling/ begging for that week after week.

Andrew did get some good practice at this today, once we got so far behind and their D took deep drops, kinda with a gun at his head, and he took what the D GAVE him. A much needed lesson. IMO

Of course on his last drive, near the red zone, he went back to being Andrew, throwing deep into double coverage, with a receiver wide open in front of him. The learning process is sometimes very slow. JMO
