Which Conference Is Better?

In your opinion, out of all Division I conferences which one(s) do you think is/are the most dominant? I like to think that the SEC is the supreme conference, even though my heart belongs to the Big 12(Texas Longhorns)

If you use the current BCS standings then it is a close one between the SEC and your Big 12.

An interesting side note is that if we use last season's Pro Bowl rosters....the ACC had the most players on it, and by a considerable margin.

The SEC has enjoyed the last few National Champions, but they are top heavy. Really weak below their third team or so. It's also abiut match ups. Sure, they have a good record against Ohio State and Oklahoma in the recent years, but they are 1-3 against Ferentz- lead Hawkeyes, 1-4 against Michigan, the McFadden/Jones combo got beat by 50 points trice to USC.

Woah...that was not what I meant to type. The SEC has the most physical talent, but they are full of scandals every year. Still, it's easy to recruit the top talent in their situation:

*television deal with a major network

*relatively warm weather year round

*lower academic standards for athletic eligibility than the Big10, for example
