I agree he's had an injury bug issue. However, this season is lost without Reggie.

We cannot count Heyward Bey and Fleener to make the key catches. Theres a reason Luck looks for Reggie more and targets him the most.

We've already lost our starting TE for the year, losing Reggie would be even a bigger hit.

Maybe we can give them a player back.

Lost? You have got to be kidding... Reggie Wayne's leadership will be lost, but not the season. We have long used the phrase next man up. Brazill coming back is big, Griff, or Rodgers will be getting a call soon. We will survive.

No thanks on Hakeem Nicks as a possible replacement. The guy seems like he is made of glass. I wouldn't be opposed to Josh Gordon, but I also wouldn't mind seeing how the Colts do simply making TY the #1 guy and putting Brazill in more packages. I think TY could be a #1 and have felt that way all along. I didn't necessarily think he was ready for the that role this year, but injury can sometimes force your hand.

DHB is not a #1 receiver and never will be. He is a solid guy, but he simply does not have the hands to be the top WR on a team.

I've heard Griff Whalen catches just about anything thrown his way. If that's true, I'd put him out there, since Reggie's #1 value to the team is his reliable hands.

Just about every football person on twitter is saying the Colts fear it's torn and that is what the team doctor diagnosed on the field last night the MRI is to confirm that. If people want to cling to hope it's not feel free but these aren't uncreditable people making thus up.

Granted, but I don't wanna put the cart before the horse... I feel its going to be the worse though. Im just wanting to see it when it happens... We could be seeing the end of the career of a great future hall of famer and a great person/leader.

I think most people are hoping for a situation similar to what happened to Jake Locker a couple weeks back.

It just got bent the wrong way from the looks of it

I worded it funny sorry that's my fault. There were these graphics they showed at various times during the game where a player was standing in front of a white backdrop and paint would splatter off of the jersey and pants. When Reggie's graphic came up a blue splatter came from his Jersey, and a white splatter came from his knee.

I made the comment to my wife "Yikes that graphic made it look like his knee exploded.  I hope that doesn't really happen."

I'm hoping it's just a sprained knee, but I fear it is an ACL tear.

I was just looking up sprains on Wikipedia and apparently a torn ACL is technically a knee sprain.  Sprain is just a general term that means a ligament was stretched too much.  It's mostly a question then of which ligament and how badly it was torn.

Crap!!!

So what do we do? Promote Whalen, Promote Rodgers, sign someone off of FA. . . Try and trade for Gordon or Nicks?

I think you have to see what Brazill has... then Rodgers and/or Whalen are good possibilities. You can never rule out a trade with Grigson, but those picks might be important with this injury.

Brazil is so overrated on these forums if you ask me.  He made one good catch last year and that was it.

Besides I don't think he has the size to play on the outside.

Overrated? We don't even know what he is capable of since he hasn't seen the field due to his suspension, and last year he played behind guys. T.Y. Hilton and DHB move to the outside with Brazill in the slot.

    • For what it’s worth….   This is the short version of the interview.  About 4:30.       Later in the day,  Eisen posted the longer version, the full interview.   It’s roughly 11 min long.    I’d post it if I could.
    • I'm going to try this again this year, I think I got last place last year.    We will trade down, because Bowers or Nabors won't be there at 15.     Round 1: a-Jackson Powers Johnson, g/c Oregon(I'm sticking with my mock draft)                     b-Brian Thomas Jr., wr LSU                      c-Taliese Fuaga, t/g Oregon St.      Round 2: a-Junior Colson, lb Michigan                      b-Edgeron Cooper, lb Texas A&M                      c-Jaden Hicks, s Washington St.      Round 3: a- Marshawn Kneeland, de Western Michigan                       b-Kamari Lassiter, cb Georgia                       c-Jarvis Brownlee, cb Louisville       Round 4: a-Jamari Thrash, wr Louisville                       b-Beau Brade, s Maryland                       c-Jaden Crumedy, dl Mississippi St.       Round 5: a-Willie Drew, cb Virginia St.                        b-Jowon Briggs, dt Cinncinati                        c-Luke Mccafrey, wr Rice        Round 6: a-Dwight McGlothern, cb Arkansas                         b-C.J. Hanson, og Holy Cross                         c-George Holani, rb Boise St.         Round 7: a-Bryan Hudson, g/c Louisville                         b-Aaron Casey, lb Indiana                          c-Evan Williams, s Oregon
    • Alot of people  sleeping  of troy franklin.  He is expected  to go in the second
    • I know a lot was said, but I really don’t like when people bring up JJ because he was such a unique case.  He fell for multiple reasons.  Analysts thought he was a product of the system, he shined because of chase, they thought he was just a slot guy.  JJ was such a curious case because he had the production to prove it but I think teams who picked other WRs ahead of him got wrapped up in the detractors.     TBH, the only player I can see in a similar predicament at WR is Adonai Mitchell, other than that, I think what you see is what you get.  Of course, there will be sleepers In every draft, but outside of Adonai, I don’t think there’s a “JJ” at WR In this draft.  Maybe Troy Franklin too.
    • This presser has reinforced how I feel about this draft and what we might do.  This is one of the most “it can go any way” drafts I’ve been apart of as a colts fan.  Based on our needs, the strengths of this draft, and where we pick, there are numerous ways this thing can go.  Some takeaways I got from this presser:   - Getting AR a weapon:  I think after this presser, we are definitely getting an AR another weapon.  I’m not sure if it’s going to be with the first or second pick.  Bowers to the colts doesn’t seem likely to me now.  Ballard really likes our tight end group and I can’t see him investing a high pick into the tight end room given what we have.  But either way, either the first or second pick will be a weapon.   - Anything is possible:  we may trade up, stay put, or even trade back.  It all depends on how this draft goes, who they have on their board, and where they have them rated.  I can see us trading up if one or two of the top 3 WRs get to pick 9.  I can see staying put if our trade up options are gone but someone looks to be falling to us.  I can also see us trading back if we have first round grades on certain players who are left and can be chosen later in the first round.  I can see all of these things happening and it really all depends on how things play out.  Personally, I’d hope we trade up if one of the top 3 WRs get close enough and doesn’t cost us too much.  But either way, we’re in a unique position and this can go a lot of ways.
