A few points: 1) I'm not big on passing yards. I never was. To me, players that throw for a lot of yard tend to lose. Blake Bortles once threw for 4400+ yards and 35 TDs and his team won 6 games. The following year, his team was 3-13 and he threw for nearly 4000 yards (3905). It is how one plays that is important, not the stats. I bring up Bortles because you saw him up close and saw how he played. 2) I never said that I thought Sam Darnold was a great QB, far from it. However, I will take his 10 INTs. He is making $10 million this year, which allowed us to sign other players to fortify the team. We are well under the cap for next year. We did not enjoy that cap flexibility when we had Kirk and his guaranteed contract. 3) Colts fans were upset with Matt Ryan's play. Kirk is not playing that much better than Matt Ryan was. Falcons fans are comparing the two situations Kirk can come back today and beat us. I would not be surprised if he did. We almost lost to the Jags and the Titans. Kirk is playing a Vikings team that was projected to win no more than five or six games with Darnold at QB. With the Colts on bye, you should see the game. Enjoy it.

It’s sad when a small third round slot receiver is the best player on the team

As long as he didn't say he and EJ were the best two players on the team. -

Well, then Ballard, Steichen, and Irsay shouldn't have publicly stated his needing to start immediately because he needed in-game reps due to lack of experience. AR5 looked pretty solid before he injured his shoulder last season.
