I stayed up for this crap!!!!!!!! You guys should hang your heads. they made you look like a freakin high school team out there!!!!  all the pre game hype about Luck.  what a joke. I hope Irsay reads this string and then has something to tweet about. (something that is intelligent---maybe an apology to us Colts fans)

give it a rest. He did what most coaches would do in those situations. He didn't drop everything thrown his way. He didn't commit big penalties on third down all night long

seriously? most coaches? any winning coaches would have went for it if their defense was giving up everything.  You can wish what you want, but your wrong so you drop it

no I'm not. You can't go for it from your own twenty with five minutes left and only down one score

I don't think there was that much time left?  Only 3 something if i remember correctly?

With 5 left i may agree with you, but i don't think there was that much time which is why

i thought we should go for it.

you can when your defense has not stopped the other team all night.  How many of their drives were over 5 minutes? Even the offense wasn't sure what they were doing.  that is another sign of his indecisiveness.  and the fact that they had a good chance to score again with little time left that would put them up by 2 scores.  you have to take a page out of the pats playbook and go for it then.  put it on you offense to win the game

yes, they gambled and lost. but they gambled. although they had the lead at the time so it was a slightly different situation

they put themselves in a situation they could control to try to win the game. they had trouble with manning all night and knew the offense was the best shot for a W

We flat out stunk tonight. We got manhandled all night. It was a fist fight and we showed up wearing a dress.

Well said....just as we physically beat the 49ers down, we were physically beaten down tonight.

For a young team like ours...let it serve as a much needed reality check.

Did somebody call the Colts the 2nd best team in the AFC...ha, ha, ha...what a joke.

4-2, soon to be 4-3 going into Houston after the bye week.

...stat for tonight - drops for the season 8, drops tonight 5.

Well at least there is maple syrup, and hockey.....and Moose. Lets not forget Curling!

I like how you count a loss before the game is played.

It indeed was a poor performance. Bad play calling choices and our defense looked like the worst in the league. The penalties that kept the chargers on the field on 3rd down I think hurt us the most.

Well, on to next game where we all have to hope the team bounces back and wins the next one...more important game next week than was this game.

I was at the game. Drove 3 hours to San Diego to watch it. Some views from what i saw.

Chargers ran the ball ok, wasnt great, but when we needed a stop we couldnt get it.

They ran a ton of crossing routes to beat our man coverage. We played most of the night with a single high safety.

Drops!! Heyward Bey dropped a TD. There was no one behind him. Fleener dropped a few big play balls. The late INT should have been caught the play was right in front of me.

I didnt look at the TOP, but it couldnt have been a good stat with the new offense we run. Im just guessing San Diego had 36-38 mins.

Im OK with the last punt. But MAc hit a bad one. It went 35 yards. If he gets it 42-48, different story.

Just a temporary setback with their second loss tonight with the Chargers 19-9 win over our Colts  Surely the Colts as a team can and will perform better in each of the remaining games. Colts are flying back to Indianapolis, take a day or two off the practice field, then prepare for the Denver Broncos, and  return of Peyton Manning, at LOS on Sunday Night.

Colts play their second straight nationally televised game for NBC Sports Sunday Night Football. Other than tonight's loss, enjoy the rest of your week to all of the members here on the Colts Strong community fan forum, and GO COLTS!  ;)  :coltslogo:  :ribbon:  :colts:  :1colts:  :coltshorse:  :coltslogo:

Sorry, Gandalf, but I don't do PC. Men are stronger than women, fact. Let's move on, shall we?

Wow. I'll take brains over strength any day too... something you seem to lack on this issue, or you just trollin'. Either way I don't want to ruin the game day thread with such shenanigans.

Moving along.

Gandalf, look at every Olympic record set by men and women. It will clearly illustrate that men are faster, stronger, and bigger than women. It's okay to say and think so. It's not okay, however, to have the evidence and still think otherwise for the sake of not hurting someone else's feelings.

When I said that the Colts showed up to a fist fight in a dress, I did imply that they played like girls.

    • Happy Draft Day to the folks who are in Indiana! (And east coast) lol. If this actually happens today I don’t know what I would do. Pipe dream or not, I’m READY for this draft to start!
    • Ok, just so I'm reading it right.  You are saying that I responded to another poster by mentioning RG in passing, as a means to bait a lurking you into starting a debate about RG vs CB, for which you feel justified doing because I mentioned RG and Luck's history.   Why don't you just stick to the possibilities of why Ballard might want to draft an olineman high?  That's what I did.
    • Its not even a serious counter, because there was never a tie in made that suggested his injuries were caused by a porous oline in the first place.  That was a tie in made to try tp point out Moose was wrong, when he didn't even tie the two together.  They were separate sentences.   Built into the idea that AR should be protected better is the appearance that AR may be fragile, based upon the situations behind his injuries.  AR was injured.  Ballard may want to protect him better.  The issue of possible fragility is built into it, IMO. is how I read Mooses comments.  Not that it was because of the level of oline protection.
    • Kirk did have the Vikings at the top of the division in the 2022 season at 13-4. He was injured last year. Oh well have fun with your new QB.    You act like I don't know Vikings football, comical because I like the team and follow them a lot. You and @NFLfansay Kirk doesn't know situational football. In 2022 he was the best situational QB in the league. Vikings were 11-0 in games decided by 3 points or less. It is because Kirk handled most situations right. You don't go 11-0 in games 3 points or less and not be a smart QB.
    • Maybe I am the one who will end up with egg on his face but I just don’t get why people think the Colts are actually going to draft an olineman with their first pick.  Nelson and Kelly returned to their pro-bowl playing status.  Raimann looks to be a very good young left tackle and the Colts have made it pretty clear they see Smith as one of the most underrated tackles in football.  They aren’t drafting a right guard in the first round, Nelson was exception, and even then Fries held his own at right guard last year.  They aren’t going to draft a guy who isn’t going to start next year either in the first round.  The starting oline is probably the least of their worries going into this draft.
