Even though we loss

There are some good point and some bad.

Good: Painter can start, defense was really good in the first half, and our running backs did decent.

Bad: Our defense can't stop teams on third down and our secondary has a lot of gaps.

We lost this game because of the injuries to the linemen. I think if our linemen didn't get injured we would've won the game.

I never thought I'd EVER say this, but Painter impressed me. The team was competitive and this week the offense for once kept us in the game. Not our defense though...... got some things to correct for sure on defense and producing more on running game. At 0-4 the only thing I can do right now is to take some positive out of this big negative.

I can somewhat agree with this. Painter proved he should be starting over Collins.

Yeah well other than a handful of people no one was saying that when Collins was brought in. In fact most people were screaming for anyone but Painter. So I think most of the would be GMs here would have made the exact same move or one simalir to the one the Colts made at the time they made it.

don't go crazy now. 13 for 30, remember.

Exactly if Garcon doesn't break two long passes I don't think people would have been that impressed with Painter tonight. Both of those TDs had more to do with what Garcon did with the ball after he caught it than it did with Painter. He had two real drives tonight one for a FG and the other was a missed FG. Other than the quick plays he did next to nothing the rest of the night. With that said he's still giving us more than what Collins is at this point. I think Painter can grow into the job for the rest of the season. He's reps too just like any other player who hasn't played much.

I know. I'm impressed with the situation and what he was able to squeeze out of of this. Its an improvement over the last three weeks at QB. I did say I'm trying to take some positive out of this overall big negative.

It's fair, like I said while he's not great Painter is doing better than Collins has to this point. The offense at least looks in sync with Painter and we have cut down on the turnovers with him.

No we lost the game because our DB's were playing 12 yards off the line and LB's were playing 8 and Freeman played ''any mini miny more'' with his check downs and our Coaches did nothing to stop it.

My thoughts exactly. He will never be that productive for us, but our WR's are good. If he can be just a little more accurate with them, and find a few quick releases, we can at least score some points.

If he can be just a little more accurate with them

When the guy gets any sort of worthwhile pass protection his throws are right on target - nearly perfect. Seen it against Pittsburgh in the TD drive and again last night! When he is rushed, his inexperience does show - only way to improve on that is meaningful paying time. If one was to assume that pass protection improves - I believe he will continue to improve as well.
