You were able to work in two more than I did TK....I have to say I like some of yours I did not take out.

That Luck character?  So easy a caveman can do it!

Sooooo I could only cut 17 on first glance and TK was able to cut 19.....I am telling you...53 is going to be rough!

I don't even know how many are on the roster right now. Are we at 90?

EDIT: Okay, we have 91 actually cause I included McNary who's a reserve

I assumed 90.....I need to count to make sure....we have McNary on military and Werner un-signed...

I may have miscounted, but I show 89 roster....McNary Army...Werner as the 90th when signed....my eyes hurt :)

Yeah McNary makes 91 cause I believe being on reserve opens a roster space so Werner would be 90 & McNary 91. I think that's how it is. Reserve= Free Roster spot

So, 90-19 is 71. I got it down to 71. Which is good cause that means I did the first 2 rounds of cuts after the 2 pre-season games. So here's my next round of cuts. From 71, down to 59.

1. Adam Vinatieri (Can't take the risk of someone grabbing the McManus kid. He sounds promising)

2. Chandler Harnish

3. Teddy Williams

4. Marshay Green

5. Joe Lefeged

6. Mario Harvey

7. Lawrence Guy

8. Ben Ijalana

9. Jeremy Kelley

10. John Boyett (Placed on IR)

11. Delano Howell

12. Joe Reitz

13. Kellen Heard

1st Cut: 19

2nd Cut: 13

Total: 32 Players

Players Left: 58  I'm doing pretty good

IR players still count against the full roster in preseason. Part of the reason the league expanded the preseason rosters is so that teams don't have to be so inventive with their roster management, using IR and PUP and what-not to stash players. I don't think we'll put Boyett on IR. He might start camp on the PUP list, and then after that, we don't have to do anything with him until he's ready to be activated, or Week 6 at the latest.

No, I put Boyett on IR for the regular season. Something like we did Chapman so it opens a free roster spot. But I believe Boyett will be our safety of the future imo

Okay, but that's one of your preseason cuts, not one of your final roster moves. If you're going from 90 down to 75, or 75 to 53, you can't count an IR move.

Also, for players with fewer than four years in the league, they have to clear waivers before you can place them on IR before Week 1. So if Boyett isn't ready to go, I'm pretty sure we'll either leave him on PUP or wait for the regular season to start before we IR him.

Remember, Chapman started the season on PUP, then got placed on IR later on, during the season. So he was never exposed to the waiver system.

You just answered another question I was going to ask....thanks...I was thinking PUP for Boyett....

TK:  Amazing how many contributors from a 11-5 playoff team will be out of a job.

At safety, do we know enough about Asante?  I do not.  I have heard at corner Teddy Williams is a surprise as well as Swanson...even Marshay Green has been mentioned as playing well.

This is why I started this thread.  An injury here....someone plays lights out on special teams...the entire scenario changes!!

To be honest I only kept Asante cause he's from Nebraska. They usually have fast players haha

you want just my first 15 cuts if I was GM or all the way down to 53 now?

I was thinking....look at the initial list.....go down it at first glance...and see who you would cut.

I think you will be amazed as I was that I simply had a hard time cutting players I know could help us....then come back with 53 like TK did...I have not done that yet.  I don't want to :)

I have Joe Reitz over Mcglynn.

And Lavon Brazill over Palmer

Also I have another OLB Justin Hickman making it over another ILB in CO Prime, Hickman was a good contributor on special teams and his very small rotational role on defense last year.

And Justin Anderson been at RT in pictures from minicamp and OTA's I have him backing up Cherilus for now on the 53 roster with Linkenbach as a utility lineman to back up OT and OG. With Cleary being cut.

And Josh Gordy gets cut to make room for a fullback(either Havili or Dan Moore)

Moala to PUP then eventually IR

To make room for Matt Overton LS

Just my take on the list above, pretty much agree with everything else.

I think Cleary sees the PS....just my opinion.

Palmer is a guy I see as making it....just a gut.

I liked all of the lists so far...other than a couple names....
