I disagree with Samson Satele being a bright spot on our line last year.

Good breakdown, Very well done. Only thing I disagree on is that Satele was a bright spot. If our O Line does there jobs this year then I expect our running back core to do there jobs much better this year as well

Its good to hear that someone is high on Asante. Our 3rd safety's recent brush with the law makes depth at the position a bit of a concern with no idea when Boyett will be ready and no desire to let Sergio cover anybody (he is kind of a beast on ST, though). I'm thinking that Dax Swanson might have a shot to sneak onto the roster at the safety position, too. I don't know what the FO is planning to do with Lefeged, but there seems to be some good competition there. Hopefully the cream rises.

 

I really liked that you had a 4th round grade on Price. His highlights are impressive and many of us are crossing our fingers that somebody gives Cassius Vaughn a run for his money at the dime/4th corner spot. I would love if he were a diamond in the rough Jarell Freeman type of find.

 

I have to disagree with you about the skill positions. It isn't as though I think that the WR core is particularly deep or that we will have a top 5 fantasy running back. To me, its all about weapons and versatility on offense. Assuming the offensive line is improved over last year's (pretty safe assumption), Luck should have a plethora of places to go with the ball in the passing game. Wayne, Fleener, Allen, Hilton, and Bradshaw will all contribute significantly in this regard. Any production from DHB will be gravy and I believe that he can offer an awful lot with his speed, size and tendency to get a little better at the fundamentals every season. This is really an ideal situation for him if he can take advantage of it.

 

The Colts do not have an Arian Foster type of RB, but they do have a rotation that includes 3 guys that have NFL starting experience. I'm of the opinion that Donald Brown has actually done quite well despite having to run behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league for his first few seasons. He has struggled with injury, but that should be less of a concern now that there are two legitimate RBs to share carries with.

Ballard was a bright spot last season. He played very well when he settled into the pace of the pro game. I think that most Colts fans were perfectly content with the idea of Ballard as the lead back coming into the offseason. While he is not spectacular at any phase of the game, he is serviceable in all phases. He is a physical downhill runner with good vision. He can get to the outside if the play breaks down. He made some good catches in his rookie season, including, of course, the whirling dervish corkscrew dive play for a TD to beat the Titans.

The only knock on Bradshaw is that he misses a lot of practice because he's dinged up so often. He hasn't actually missed very many games and he has performed very well when he touches the ball. He can do all of the rthings i was just praising Ballard for, only he is better at them. He is probably the best pass blocking HB in the NFL. He has excellent vision, good speed, and can bruise opposing defenses with his between-the-Tackles physicality. Bradshaw is especially adept at catching passes out of the backfield, providing an important safety valve when the play breaks down.

 

As you can see, I think that the Colt's offense has the potential to be very dangerous. Just like the defense, there are not a ton of "names" that jump out and grab you, but there are many role players that will fit perfectly with what Pep is trying to accomplish. There might be a few bumps in the road early on, but by midseason, I expect that this offense is going to really be something to watch.

Good analysis.  There were a few statements I disagree with, such as the Satele comment and how you said Ijalana is a great fit at guard (I see him as a better fit at tackle, but with Castonzo and Cherilus, it doesn't look like he will get a shot there).  But otherwise, good video.  Nicely done!

The QB is the heart of the team, with that being said, the second most important is not one person it's the group of o-line players I know defensive guys/fans will say otherwise so I will compromise and say they are equal, and as everybody know who's a Colts fan on this forum knows the o-line was horrible and the worst in the entire league last season that has been improved as all Colts fans know on this forum with FA acquisitions and 2 from the draft and the o-line. I will say that the line is better! How much better actually that will have to be determined at the end of the reg season, but we all know that sacks will be down! Holes will now be opened and a second or 2 seconds will be added depending on the D that is faced will give the heart of the team "The QB" that extra precious time he needs to see all the reads and get that offensive eligible receiver the ball to advance the line of scrimmage, And add the bonus A.Luck can run too if need be or a play set up for a planned run! And less INT's and unforced and forced fumbles will also decline. I see the o-line better and around 15th from I believe from the 32nd ranked o-line from last season and that alone will spark the whole team advancing the ball and breaths fire into the defense and gives them a rest to stop the opposing teams drives.....I see the defense with great rotation around mid league too or better.....

Unless he gets hurt again, I don't see any reason Ijalana won't make the roster.

Ilajana< that kid has had some bad luck, tearing ACL then coming back and tearing it again right after cleared by doctors on a non contact drill, put him on PS since nobody else will take a chance on him and let him maybe earn a spot. Just sad about his bad luck.

Polian was very high on Ijalana, said he could play center, guard or tackle.  That is a ton of potential waiting to be realized.  Injuries have been his waterloo since he was drafted.  If he avoids the injury bug this year, the Colts will find a spot for him at center or guard.  Our LT and RT spots have been addressed.  The result will be one of the best O lines the Colts have had in the last 10 years, IMO.
