Pat Angerer At Mlb!

true we have tonys tiny shorty cbs , who cant bat the ball down but let the receiver catch the ball then make the tackle

Unless I'm missing something....Powers and Lacey were drafted in the first draft after Dungy retired. How then could they be "tony's....cbs"?

Three years from now, when you have to suffer through the season that Peyton didn't play due to neck injury, it's really gonna suck. Just wanted to give you the heads up.

My point....you are living in the past man. From the second Dungy left, Caldwell and POlian began bringing in bigger and stronger players. Compare the size of our starters now to the starters of the Tampa SB defense and you'll find our current players are the same size if not a little bit bigger in a couple areas. I'll save you the time, I already did this but you can find the thread yourself. ;)

Asante Samuel is pretty darn tiny and he's very good.

What I do kind of dislike is how limited of playing time Rucker and Thomas have had. If we go 0-6 or so hopefully they will just throw them in and see how they do, by then there would be no risk giving them heavy playing time and evaluating them and one might be a gem.

Ohh PS: Under no circumstances do I want them to go 0-6.

Heck I'd start working them in more now...not as full time starters but get them as well as Johnson rotated in. Find out what the best combo of these guys would be, see which ones are worth keeping around at the end of the year etc.

Of all the guys in the defensive backfield, let's keep Bethea and replace the rest. The sooner the better. Even the guys we haven't seen much of, maybe there's a reason...

Why stop with Tryon? Get rid of Lacey, Powers, Rucker, the whole lot. Take a look at where all these guys were drafted and ask yourself, "why were they available then?" and "just how many nobodies can we have before the production is gone?"

After seeing Angerer, Conner, and Nevis play this year, I'm much more comfortable moving forward at those positions unless the freaks like Burfict, Te'o, Thompson, or Ta'amu are available when we draft. We need to focus on DBs because this group is simply not talented enough.

It doesnt matter where you were drafted, all that matters if you can play and both rucker and thomas can play... during Lacey's rookie season alot of ppl were calling for him to start, the colts have capable corners... tryon sound like a gassed and very big headed individual hopefully his waiver puts kevin thomas in a better position to get playing time.

Your post is just ignorant. Are you saying that big players don't get hurt? It's the N-F-L! EVERRRRRYYYYBODY gets hurt! You run your body into a bunch of other guys wearing a helmet and pads over and over again and eventually...YOU WILL GET HURT! I don't care if you are a classic 6'4" 300 lbs (Steve Emtman) or if you are an undersized 5'9" 185 lbs (Wes Welker). All of those guys you mentioned could play football. Period. That's why the Colts drafted them or signed them via free agency.

There are 31 other teams in the league that would love to have Jerraud Powers playing for them. He is smart. He is good. He is young. He is cheap. And he does not give up big plays.

tony set the standard for tiny players,

Nice backtrack there. I liked your posts better when you were trying to pretend to be Coach Caldwell.
it just kept on and they all got hurt sanders,
Sanders was short for a safety but weight was around league average.
bullit,
Bullitt is right at league average for a safety.
brackett,
Brackett is small and he's gotten dinged a time or two but he's never been an injury problem.
hayden,
Hayden is actually on the big side for a CB at 6'0 190+ lbs. Most CBs in the NFL are 5'10, 185 lbs.
etc. must i name more?
Yes, I think you should try again because of the players that have had injury problems 2 are average and one is bigger than average. The only "small" player you named didn't have an injury problem until a freak shoulder injury this year.
