Best fit ?

B/R  latest Mock has us  using 24 on Alex Okafor  Watched this guy on game changers looked like quick guy to get off the snap  just question for me can he rush  as an stand up OLB  but if he can do that well hed be a great fit    Thoughts ?

I don't know what film you watched, but all the film I've seen on him(and it's alot) there is nothing quick about this guy at all. He's pretty slow actually, can't shed blocks, gets lost on running plays, and couldn't cover to save his life. This is the one guy that has been mentioned by others as a possible pick for us, that I would be absolutely irate with.

Okafor is a 4-3 DE good pass rusher but really bad against the run, and there should be better players available.

I really don't want to get this guy. He should only play 4-3 DE, and is well rounded, but can't use just one skill to get to the qb

This ^ Jarvis Jones will fall to us. He would be a phenomenal 3rd down pass rusher.

Moore has been known to have a bad work ethic and gives up on plays. Carradine may not be ready.

I agree. It would be unprecedented for a top 10 grade to drop so far. Not likely but possible. I personally like the guy but even kiper has him dropping to mid 2 early 3

Dont get me wrong as far as a pure pass rusher I still think he is good and certainly strong enough to hold up in contain responsibilities but he does not have good hip flexibility in my opinion, I still wouldn't mind if we drafted him in a trade down to the 2nd although depending on where we traded down to, I would like Travis Frederick there or Justin Hunter, Kyle Long or Margus Hunt
