Arians still gets players respect

Recommended Posts

Matt Spaeth, TE for the Bears has a lot of really nice things to say about Arians.  It's possible they could be reunited in Chicagoland.

Snippets-

"I really like him as a coach, and obviously as a guy. If you look at his journey, success seems to follow him."

"I can tell you that when Pittsburgh got rid of him, nobody was happy in that locker room, especially Ben (Roethlisberger). Ben has a lot of pull around there and he was upset. People were mad because of the job Bruce does."

"Bruce is known for his aggressive, downhill running game that sets up the great play action. He puts quarterbacks in a good position to be successful, in my opinion. Roll outs, bootlegs, play actions ... those are the kinds of things he does to help the quarterback. He knows how to get his QB out of the pocket and the results speak for themselves."

I haven't noticed us doing many rollouts and bootlegs other than the occasional one where Luck runs it in for a TD.  Arians has been a very good hire (kudos to Pagano for that).  The man is very well respected around the league.  Big Ben has nothing but good things to say about him

I'm hoping he stays, with a good Oline his play calling will be extremely dangerous. Stay here Bruce, finish what you started a win a ring here 1st.

I agree with both you guys. I wasn't crazy about some of the plays that exposed Luck, like the empty backfield sets, with the O line we have.

I hope he stays but I'm not counting on it.

with the bears trying to get an interview with arians this does not shock me that someone from the bears team would talk nice about him.

    • by seasons end, it will be very close...    you didn’t even mention Pittman or Taylor in that comment, which is concerning after their performances last week. They will be our go-to’s offensively for years...
    • I like Malamute Huskies The puppies are the cutest
    • True but the smart and efficient but unspectacular QB comes out every year. None of them ever really amount to much. The best average traits but good IQ QB is Brady followed by Brees. You could probably throw Goff in there too but he was crazy accurate coming out of Cal.   But if you look at all the current great QBs in the league, they all have a standout trait that jumps off the screen. Wilson has his playmaking ability that is almost unnatural when he’s on the move. Mahomes has a ln arm that’s a cheat code and plus athleticism. Watson is a dual threat with elite play making ability. Allen has a cannon arm and is a great runner. Lamar Jackson is self explanatory. Rodgers may be the best thrower of the football ever just in terms of his ability to fit ball into ridiculous windows.    The mental is great but he needs to have some physical trait that jumps off the tape.
    • I love English Bulldogs! That is my buddy there.      I like a lot of the dogs you mentioned. You don't like huskies??!     I like almost all dogs except the small, loud ones. Goldens, Labradors, Huskies and English Bulldogs are my favorites. I also like Portuguese Water Dogs.
    • Different teams.   I don't think beating the Titans in week 2 of last season means anything to the outcome of tomorrows game.  We may win and we may lose.   I see it as a toss up with the Titans having a slight edge.     Go Colts!
