Polian had no clue what he was doing during his last 5 years at the Colts. We got lucky with Pat. I'm sure Grigson won't be taking that chance!

I know it is fashionable to hate Polian now but I mean come on....

The man drafted Edjerrin James over Ricky Williams and no other GM would have done that. None.

He drafted Peyton "freacking" Manning and without that pick I doubt you are even on this forum.

Trust me I can go on, but all I am saying is at least be fair when you bash Polian. Because he brought me and you many, many years of joy whether you will admit it or not.

Wrong. The team gave me the joy, Polian almost ruined it.

 

1. My grandmother could have drafted Manning.

2. I did say over the past 5 years. James was drafted a little before that, and left, what, 6 years ago?

 

Please be happy with Polian for what he did, everyone to their own. I just don't rate what he did that highly, which will not be news to most of the long termers on here...

Pat Mac will most likely be the first re-signing of our off-season. The guy has done nothing but improved in the past two seasons. He used to be a straight lined power punter, but now he is improving as a directional punter and that is what we need with this young team. Pat deserves a good contract. IMO

      To use an off season surgery as an excuse is bollocks....    He needs to step up his game and start performing. In many ways he honestly looks like one of the 5 worst QB´s in the league and again, to use a shoulder surgery as an excuse is just pure bollocks.   There simply is no development in his game, and his huge upside is what? tell me?    I don´t think one second that we will ever come close to winning anything with him as our QB.   and to make things worse read this: https://www.espn.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=2176813

      And yet, PFF didn't grade him all that high last year.  My response to this is that the scheme is designed for the MLB and the SS to make most of the tackles.  And they do. But last year, Franklin allowed a 77% completion rate with 10.2 yards per completion, and 7.9 yards per target.  In summary, he makes a lot of tackles by scheme, but he also allows a lot of completions.       Every bottom feeder team has a good player or two. Are the colts a bottom feeder? At times they play like it.    the “forum GMs” as you call them, don’t dislike when a player does well. They just hate when the team sucks. There’s nothing wrong with that. And no one here says some of the Colts players aren’t good players.    the Colts stunk it up pretty bad in the first two weeks, lost game one again a stat that we have held for over a decade. In must win games, the colts perform exceptionally awful with a mind boggling level of consistency under this regime.    the good players that the Colts have tend to also not show up in those games and make any game changing plays.    ok so Franklin can tackle. So what? Yeah the forum GMs are shaking with rage because of that!

      The huge difference is that you could see the progress in peytons game and how he always learned and keept going. and in year two, he really took off and started to show why we picked him.   With AR, things just getting worse, game after game... I wouldn't mind if we traded him for some picks next season.
