It's certainly not new to Andre, nor Arian, who has been there 4 times in his young career. If you don't care why mention that Manning has been there so much. Don't worry, he will probably be there again this year. Schaub is just going to have to forego it this year in favor of bigger things.

Care to put a wager on that?

Please link quote that says that Mike and Kyle dumbed down their offense. Carrol is on record of saying this for Wilson. The Shanahans gave Robert the entire playbook at the start of training camp and then tailored the offense to his skill sets as the season went on. This has been well documented. They havent dumbed down anything. They've been creating plays and concepts as the season has gone on.

I don't need to find a link. The kid didn't even have a playbook at Baylor. You really think he picked up the entire playbook Elway ran from day one?

Yep. Especially if we clinch homefield throughout, we are at another level in the playoffs at home. Just ask the Bengals.

Ok, if the Texans don't make the superbowl you have to rock a colts avatar until preseason. If they do i will use a Texans avatar

Sounds fair enough. I'm going to remember this thread, might even put it up in my favorites bar hahaha.

Should a QB that sits behind Foles, Ponder, Gabbert, and Tannehill and near the bottom of QBR make it to the pro bowl?  How about a QB that is next to last in the NFL in completion pct (only ahead of Henne and behind Sanchez)?

Passing yards means one thing...that a QB threw the ball a lot of times.  Luck is just ahead of Palmer and a ways behind Romo and Stafford in yardage which should tell you how important (or not important) that stat is.  Certainly accuracy, TD/int ratio, rating, are better measures of QB performance.

And Luck has a HOF receiver to throw it to.  Who is Manning, Brady, RGIII, Wilson, throwing to that's even remotely comparable to Wayne?

Luck's had a great year for the situation he came into but others have just performed better.

That depends. Is this QB asked to carry the entire offense? Is he asked to throw the ball a ton and throw it downfield often? Is he working with a veteran team with talent or an expansion level team? What is his record? How responsible is he for the record? As always, stats don't tell the story.

Outside of Wayne, who else at any of the skill positions had more then 1 year experience in the NFL? You don't think Manning and Brady have better weapons then Luck? You cant be serious. Reggie Wayne is one guy, those teams have several playmakers and most of them are veterans. Thats a terrible comparison you are trying to make.

Valid point, but the Redskins arent running Elways offense.  They are running a modified version of their system.  As soon as they drafted RG3, the firs tthing Kyle did was throw out his entire playbook at literally started from scratch.  Here is the article that talks about process of revamping their offense from a traditional drop back offense to one that fit Robert Griffin and his specific talents.

The only good part of any pro bowl was when Peyton was Asked about the super bowl and said we weren't in the super bowl because our * kicker got liquored up and ruined the game xD

not quite what he said.. But it was funny

"I’m out at my third Pro Bowl, I’m about to go in and throw a touchdown to Jerry Rice, we’re honoring the Hall of Fame, and we’re talking about our * kicker who got liquored up and ran his mouth off."

-- Peyton Manning

As usual we have Luck homers throwing the rest of the team under the bus so Andrew gets all the credit for carrying the team on his back.  We're a young team but not without talent throughout the entire team.

I'll take the Colts rec corps over Seattle's and Washington's for sure especially considering Garcon and Davis have missed a lot of games. Although Golden Tate is very good at miracle catches.

Are NE's and Denver's guys that much better or is it the QB that makes them so good.  I don't believe Thomas, Decker, Stokely are better than Wayne, Avery, Hilton.  NE has Gronk and Hernandez which puts them a notch higher but not much.  Lloyd's just about average.

I'm a Luck homer because i think NE and Denver have more weapons on offense? Most anyone with any sense at all would agree with me.

Is Reggie Wayne really good or does his QB make him look better? See, i can play this game too. Was his season better last year with more offensive talent around him or this year with less?

You are taking a way bigger risk than he is, based on probability. But your wagers are the same...he's fleecing you! Up the ante on him! He should have to change his name to 'Texan1973' as well!

I won't change my name, but i will make a pro Texans signature.. Hows that

RG3 joins Dan Marino as the only 2 NFL rookie QBs to ever make the original Pro Bowl roster. That is pretty elite. In fact, it's far more rare than OROY which will have it's seventh QB to win the award this year.

Drew Brees or Tony Romo should have been there before Bob. Both have better numbers

We have talent no question and most of it is young talent but you did not mention 1 key point, We have no O Line which makes what Luck is doing that much bigger becaus if that was one of our backups out there Im gonna just go ahead and say we would not be sitting near as pretty as we are right now, we would be talkin about how close or what position we would be in the draft. Plus another huge part your missing, Arians refuses to adapt his offense around Lucks strengths

Not according to their peers, NFL coaches and fans voting. What should have been is debatable, what is not is that RG3 joined Dan Marino in an accomplishment that no other rookie QBs have ever accomplished in history.

Just another reason fans shouldn't vote

Probability has gotten me in trouble in the past. I hope this time's different haha

If fans didnt vote, Luck wouldnt even be in the conversation for the pro bowl.

and given Griiffins 20 td's and barely 3000+ yards passing (1000+ less then Luck) then Griffin would not either using that logic also ya cant use the rushing td's argument either Luck has 1 less of those, Its not out of the question Luck would be close to the same number of yards as well if he ran for the exact number of times Griffin has (not quite as much obviously given there average ypc but very close)

Go look at the names of those QBs surrounding Griffin, and those surrounding Luck.

(And Alex Smith was very efficient before he was unfairly benched, in my opinion)

Just another reason fans shouldn't vote

Yes but fans only count for a third of the vote.  Players and coaches count for the other two thirds or the majority.  So you can't put this all on the fans.  RG3 is an exciting player and people like to watch that and frankly for an all-star game like this that's what people want to see.  I think it's time Colts fans just accept that RG3 is a different type of QB than Luck and frankly the way he plays is a bit sexier and just because RG3 gets rewarded for that isn't some kind of slam on Luck.  I am not saying you persay but this thread got off track when Colts fans started complaining about RG3 got voted in over Luck.  Just take it for what it is.  Most of the people outside of Indianapolis have not seen much of Andrew Luck this year rather it be fans, coaches, or players (unless they are playing against him).  They only played in about three or four "national games" and two they got blown out in the Jets game and Pats game where Luck did not play well at all.  One was on Thursday night against the Jags, not the most exciting match up in the world, and the other was the Packers game.  So they really only have Luck's numbers to go by which are frankly about what you expect to see from a rookie QB.  RG3 on the other hand is on a lot of highlights and is one of the most talked about players in the NFL this season.

With that all said I have a feeling you are going to see both in Hawaii.  There is a very good chance Brady, Manning, or Schaub will plans the following weekend.   About the only way Luck doesn't end up in the Pro-Bowl is if the Bengals, Ravens, or Colts make the Super Bowl.  If the later happens no one is going to care that Luck isn't playing in the Pro-Bowl and even if it's the Bengals or Ravens go to the Super Bowl Brady has been known to back out of Pro-Bowls before so I think the odds are pretty high Luck gets there.  The fact that Luck is even in the poistion to maybe go to the Pro-Bowl as a rookie is an amazing statement to what people think about him around the league.

Since the majority of the vote comes from coaches and players I don't think that is exactly a true statement.  People over rate the fans in this they only count for a third of it and Peyton Manning won the fan vote for QB in the AFC so it's not like Luck ran up some huge score there that had to be offset in a major way by the players and coaches.

yes I know, now click on "Att". Luck  has close to the same number of completions at Robert has attempts (probably 2 games short of it but that is still really close considering the average number of passes Luck does a game). Far less attempts means far less risks in terms of turnovers by the QB

Luck is 5th in pass attempts but he has the lowest QBR of the top 10.

This is an outrage!  This is horrendous!  This is...

... eh, who really cares?

Thank you.

Peer recognition and individual awards are fine.

But after 14 seasons that gave us enough statistical accolades and Pro Bowl selections to fill a freight train....but only brought us 1 Super Bowl ring when 2-3 more could have been had with a little defense and a decent rushing attack....forgive me for not giving a crap about stats, individual awards or any piece of hardware that doesn't have Vince Lombardi's name on it.

if you can explain to me the significance of QBR or what it means then I will think about acceping that argument, Because to me nobody can explain it and once they try they cant tell me why one play raises it higher then others and again less pass attempts means significabtly less risk which mean potential for much higher QBR
