LOL. How do we keep 12 men on the field after that TO? wth.

Now Cleveland is taking a shot at a TD. Such a fail.

how can we have 3 straight incomplete passes on our last drive, not gain even 1 yard, and give the ball back to a QB that has a ridiculous passer rating today ---- that is the type of stuff that will just kill you and this is the NFL and we cannot just jack around with the Browns as good as Weeden is today, we just cant. we should have at least had a field goal out of that last drive. Terrible, just terrible.

Hughes has been applying pressure most of the game, I feel a sack coming his way in the 2nd half

I understand this odd Caldwell philosophy that "our defense has a chance to make a play," but the counter logic to that is it gives the offense another chance to make a play also. I don't want Arians to be Caldwell #2.

Excepting the first game, Weeden has been quite decent this year. I think he is on pace to break 4,000 yards to this point. Can't let him have his way, and be ready for the deep ball. I think he's connect on at least one the last 3 games in a row.

How does Luck always manage a low completion %?

Two drops aren't helping anything that's for sure.

How does Luck always manage a low completion %?

A combination of overthrows and dropped passes.

How does Luck always manage a low completion %?

Because he is inaccurate on the deep throw... That and when he does get some pressure applied he throws the ball too high or behind his receivers. He leads them too much.

Good news is the Browns did not get the memo about our run stopping problems, Richardson only had 8 carries in the first half and he has only got 8 yards out of it, 5 of those came on 1 play, KEEP CHUCKING IT SHURMUR!

So Griffin's TD pass was a pass 2 yards behind LOS turned into a TD by Moss... 21 yards I believe.

He wouldn't have it any other way.

Colts D needs to get a turnover or two this game. Their turnover differential is pretty terrible an amongst the last or last in the league isn't it?

Colts need to come out with the same strategy run the ball, throw short to throw long

If it's behind the LOS, doesn't it count as a lateral? So it's a TD run?

No because Griffin was in the shotgun I believe. He was about 5 yards behind while Moss was around 2 yards behind.

I see. So the ball did in fact move forward out of the QB's arm

    • Wow.  Like eerie wow.   But I still like what I saw in the Tennessee game (yes, even with the INT's).  For the first time in I don't know how long, he actually looked like an NFL qb going down field.  That's why I hope he doesn't back down because of those INT's.  Maybe it was a step forward to finally cut loose.
    • I agree with most of your post, not bashing JB at all, like you I have all the respect in the world for him.  He was put into a hard position, stepping in when Luck called it quits, but after watching him on game day, and reviewing the tapes of the games other forum members have posted in here, it seems obvious he has not improved much, if not at all.
    • Yeah, you’re right in your original post that there were people questioning whether or not he’d make the roster though. Especially with Fountain ballin out in TC. Man, that injury was even more unfortunate looking back. I really hope he can carve a role out for himself here.
    • I get your point, I am sure Ballard agree's. JB even by my eye ball test doesn't suck. We are just used to Peyton and Luck. Ballard may draft a QB and to be honest I would be happy if he did but not in round 1. He may get a gem in round 2 or 3 or so.
    • I don't think either of us can say exactly how Ballard does, or does not, look at things. We know some basics though. We know both he and FR are stats guys, and Ballard has grown the analytics team since coming to Indy. We know one of Ballards core responsibilities is build a team that not only wins, but also one that fills seats and generates revenue. We also know he loves leadership and the "right guys".   I think we both agree that Ballard is a very smart guy. He knows everything about JB. He knows his flaws from college, he knows every stat that has been laid out by all of us here, plus probably a bunch more. He knows exactly what last year's team and players did, and the difference in their performance to date this year.   I agree that the FO didn't get to evaluate JB under perfect/ideal situations, but frankly that never happens. He's not going to give pure grace for injuries, and disregard that JB still has a big problem with missing wide open guys regardless of who they are. He sees it all, and a lot more. And I'm sure he knows sometimes you have to make a call without ideal input/evaluation.    I do think that Ballard will do what ever he does, and we'll likely never know all the past, current, and future variables he may weigh. I just know where I'd put my money.
