I was lucky enough to get to see Peyton live for the first time tonight. I have lost my voice. I got chills when the crowd started chanting "Let's go Broncos!". I just needed to tell you all. That was amazing.

haha I didn't hear that on the TV, but I did hear the PA system because Charger stadium got so quiet from being stunned.

Amazing you go to see Peyton live. I've never had the pleasure.

Glad you had a good time. Looked like a lot of Broncos fans there too or else they showed them a lot lol.

I have seen Peyton several times.

But, the best one I have seen was by FAR Colts at Pats in 2006. That was some game. And it's amazing looking back at how much was still there from the Pats dynasty in terms of players. And when I found out Sanders was playing I felt like we would win. :)

I was ready to watch Monday and my TV -recorder combo went dead.

I dug up an old VCR...and taped the game.. :tvhammer:

../because I rememeber I wish I'd taped all of Michael Jordan's games when I had the chance.....

To watch that live........knowing they had to win...

Down by 24..won by 11......

the old Cowboy is still the King of Monday Night

Lucky you! Yeah, I noticed that there were a lot of Broncos fans last night. They are having trouble selling out tickets and people speculate that they want to move to LA. I guess it's a safe place to watch the Broncos unlike Oakland. It never occurred to me to fly there but I should have. I'm seriously envious!

He is incredible to watch in person. We have had the pleasure a few times over the years. Last MNF game I recall we saw in person was when the Colts had the ball for like 12 minutes and beat the Dolphins here in south fla.. Wow- what a finish that was. I really shouldnt of nodded off last night. Woke up around 3am and ran to the computer to check the score.. :) wow, he is a legend..

I always thought Peyton was the one of best..that was until my wife got me tickets to the RCA Dome when we went back to visit family, to see Monday Night Football against Pittsburgh. As soon as he stepped on the field, chills went up and gown my spine, the hair on the back of my neck stood up..the feeling was unlike anything I have ever felt..And I have seen a lot of games previously, but never in Indy. Colts got the ball on the 20, and the first play i saw Marvin open...yelled..HIT HIM PEYTON..and then..a beautiful catch in stride, caught almost right in front of me...Marvin waltzed into the end zone, and I lost it then...the rest of the game I was so loud, I lost my voice, just watching Peyton and the Colts dissect Pittsburgh. It was then I knew I saw the greatest player to ever step onto the field. The way he just controlled everything, his poise, his confidence, the way he moved in the pocket....

You got to see a real legend in person Nobody...and everyone who has ever seen him live, knows exactly how we feel...Its an honor to watch this class act play...even if he is with another team now...

And wasn't it just a few weeks ago, after Peyton threw three picks in one quarter, or, was it after a loss, that someone started a thread here saying, Peyton was done....

Guess we may not see that thread around for some time...

Perhaps until the next time he has a bad game... then someone will dig it back up.... :slaphead:

"Ice cream! Sprinkles! Bananas! Cool Whip! Nuts...Hut, Hut, Hike!" I kid of course, but I have such respect for #18 because of his o-line mastery on the field and dignity and humility off the field. 1 of a kind IMO.

    • Yeah... Richardson needs players who can separate and who can get open deep. IMO "give the inaccurate QB a contested catch receiver with large catch radius" is one of the tropes that hasn't proven to work well. Contested catches have about 50-55% success rate even with the best of contested catch receivers and with relatively accurate QBs... now if you think AR's accuracy is not good, drop that rate even more. The best way to give a relatively inaccurate QB better chance to complete passes is to give him a WR who separates and and who is open so the QB would have more of a margin for error to throw the ball a little behind or ahead or a little higher or lower than ideal. (we are not talking about uncatchable balls here... those will be uncatchable for anyone really). In that regard, one thing I would agree about is - we need WRs who have good hands and have good ball skills.   And this is ignoring that AR has indeed been pretty good with his accuracy on passes at intermediate and long range. His biggest problem coming into the league was the short stuff and he was already showing improvements in that deparment before he got injured.    And Worthy is the WR who created the most separation from anybody in this draft :
    • Richardson  accuracy  on deep balls is his strength.  Hence why you pair an elite deep threat in worthy.
    • No.   You weren’t.   If you were the least bit sincere, we’d be having these conversations in private.  But you’ve repeatedly ignored my efforts to do that.  Your call.      Then you avoid me until I’m in an uncomfortable conversation with another poster.   You use that awkward moment as an excuse for you to come in with some sincere friendly advice.   The problem is, you’re neither sincere, nor friendly.  And you’ve been doing this for months now.  This is not new.   The pattern is clear and obvious.     And the shame of it all is that even with our different views on Ballard we have enough in common that we should be friendly.  Maybe not friends, but friendly.  You wouldn’t need to address me as “Sir.”    “Good deed going unpunished”.  You flatter yourself.     But your actions speak much louder than your words.   There’s no reason for me to trust you.  And here we are.  A real shame.
