Is This A Good Trade?

I receive:

Tom Brady

Reggie Wayne

Jeremey Maclin

Brent Celek

He receives:

Philip Rivers

Antonio Gates

Pierre Garcon

Marshawn Lynch

With that team my team looks like this:

Tom Brady/Joe Flacco

Adrian Peterson

Steven Jackson

Ryan Mathews or Jeremey Maclin

Reggie Wayne

Dez Bryant

Brent Celek or Greg Olsen

Packers D/ST

Mason Crosby

Hines Ward

Lee Evans

Roy Williams

Jordy Nelson

and I'll probably pick up Willis McGahee.

My first instinct is that it is a good trade, I'm improving at QB, and improving at WR significantly, but I'm in a hole at TE. I'm also working on a deal to get Larry Fitzgerald. So is this a good trade?

if your getting fitz then its a bad trade because you already have a good qb and you'll be putting yourself in a bad position at TE, but if dont get fitz then do the trade to booster your wrs.

Well I don't think I can get Larry Fitzgerald with my current team as it is. With this trade it will give me more breathing room to get rid of some players.

What type of league is it PPR or standard

Standard.

BTW, another team said they would trade me Dallas Clark, but I want to be careful not to overvalue a TE.

Does Jeremy Maclin for Dallas Clark straight up sound fair? Or maybe Steven Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and Brent Celek for LeSean McCoy and Dallas Clark sound better? On Trade Analyzer it says that I'm giving up a lot more, but it feels closer. Any thoughts on this "Is This A Good Trade Pt. II?" lol?

I just typed in Manning for Brady. Brady wins by 2.75 points.

I don't think they include the injury though. Like right now Brady's fantasy value is much higher than Peyton's for obvious reasons.

I accepted that trade, and after many more days of negotiating and trades my final fantasy roster looks like this:

Tom Brady

Adrian Peterson

Rashard Mendenhall

Vincent Jackson

Larry Fitzgerald

Hakeem Nicks

Vernon Davis

Packers D/ST

Mason Crosby

------------------

Sam Bradford

Deion Branch

Lee Evans

Roy Williams

James Jones

I'm pretty satisfied, I think I'm gonna win. :)

This is a dream team in 12 team league, just dont know about Mason Crosby since Pacs may get too many TDs instead of FGs, which may limit the score coming from the kicker. Sometimes kickers from worse teams can get you more points.

Just dont know how those people in your league let you make the trades. You must be really good at negotiation or they lost their minds. :cheer:

Bench may be a little thin and you may wanna keep one RB I feel... but this is typical in leagues with 3 WRs starting.

It's actually a 10 team league, but it's still pretty good. It's actually pretty easy to do trades, because I always like to keep 3 solid QBs on my team, so when there's an injury or someone's QB is having a bust season I can make a good trade with them. Like the guy who had Peyton Manning had to have Kevin Kolb starting, so I just traded him Matthew Stafford and Jeremy Maclin for Vincent Jackson and it's easy.

And yeah I noticed that about Mason Crosby too. I have my eye on Janikowski(Sp?), Akers and Kasay because I'll never get anywhere with just 1 point XP.

Getting Janikowski is a must, and u may not need to look for other kickers. I lost one game last Monday to this guy when I had Brandon Lolyd and was even taking a lead before the game started. But he did help me win the other 2. All were close games. So I was really happy to have him.

The guy has the strongest leg in NFL now, and Raiders are not very efficient in redzone, which makes it a perfect situation for kickers (same for Akers). Also Raiders tend to use his talent to the most, as they always let him try extra-long FGs before half time and he almost got them all, which is the extra bous to Janikowski owners.

Nick Novak

Mike WilliamsTB

Don't GET RID OF MURRAY NOW!! Jones and BGE can go, and really Brown and Tate aren't gonna do that well. Nicks is intriguing. I say NO.

I'd rethink that trade. Lynch's value throws that deal all out of whack. RBs in uncontested backfields are at a premium. I'd move Steven Jackson over Lynch right now.

nobody on here is talking fantasy football... you remarked on a thread from last August.

I wish people were talking FF... I am so antsy about it I just sent two trade offers tonight.

Ya think... heehe...

I hope the guys in your league are not playing for $$$, how in the Heck did you land a top 3 Fantasy QB, 2 top 5 fantasy WR's, and The top 2 fantasy RB's (assuming Peterson is healthy)????????

That is a stacked lineup. 5 top 20 players. And Nelson will be a top 10 WR this season easy...

    • If I was an owner I wouldn't hang division banners. People mock us for hanging a Final 4 banner in 2014 but yet think hanging a division banner (hypothetically for going 8-8) is ok? Think about how silly that sounds. I would rather be in the AFC Title Game than my division, that is common sense.
    • We will see how it plays out. Cam is washed IMO and injury prone. He has the greatest coach ever and he will be lucky to go 9-7.
    • I am not worried about Buffalo. Just contain their QB and you're good. Baltimore much harder but we have a shot there if our run D plays tough. KC and their receivers seems like the toughest. I think a great run D is key on all these games incl. TN.  We have to make all these teams one dimensional. The only one with too many skills players to stop is KC.  The only way to beat them is being able to score more points than we have all season. Let's hope our O-Line keeps offering up the extra time in the pocket.
    • We know... we are all here because we love the game and we love the colts, can you please stop acting like the forum shrink - it's nauseating lol. We as fans are allowed to comment what we want on this forum, its not always going to be rainbows and daisies, deal with it. We all want to see the colts win and when we s*** the bed on a sunday afternoon we are allowed to have a vent and discuss where we need improving etc even if that does occasionally come with some over reaction sprinkled in. You probably thought this was a random comment to quote but its a build up of your posting as a whole and I chose to reply to this one lol.   Anywayyy, Phil did have a good game against the Bengals no doubt, but he has been very average or perhaps below average for the most part. I hope he can hang with some of the better teams we have coming up on our schedule but I do have my doubts that we will see more of the bengals type play from him very often.
