Could have really used that win last night.....ugh. Yu started off cold and made up for it later with 13 strikeouts, including 8 in a row! Too bad the damage was already done and they couldn’t get more runs in. Reds playing with nothing to lose now, can be an issue for teams still in the hunt.
Willis did a nice job. I think the snap change had a lot to do with the O we were facing. IMO, Willis will play more vs running teams, and Geathers will play more vs passing teams. I'd bet Geathers gets more snaps this weekend vs the Falcons.
I don't want him to force throws either, but he can get rid of it. On the pick, it was third down so he's not gonna throw it away, but my issue is the placement of the throw, not the decision. He put the ball right where it needed to be on the TDs to Hilton and Campbell. But on the pick? It was too far to the inside, especially for a well-covered receiver.
On the first sack (I think), Mack was open in the flat, and JB didn't see him. There were others.
Thanks for the kind words.
I'm not trying to be a wise guy but exactly how did Brissett throw him open? He was wide open on his own. That was an easy throw that any QB in the league should complete. And if he would have thrown it behind him it would have been a bad pass.
