Hesitant to sign flacco

Playoffs2013

Recommended Posts

If I were the ravens I would be extremely hesitant to sign joe flacco for a lot of money and years, because this is a contract year and everyone knows how ok players become great during contract years ex. Albert haynesworth. So while flacco is doing well, the ravens should be hesitant to give flacco big money and long years

So because it didn't work out for Haynesworth, that means that the Ravens should be hesistant to sign Flacco?

Please, it's in their best favour to sign Flacco now.

No I'm saying sign flacco just not for big money or many years

Not just haynesworth but a lot of players perform in a contract year then never perform again

Flacco isn't exactly elite

If Flacco keeps playing the way he has been he deserves good money. He doesn't strike me as the type who only puts his all in when money is on the line, I just think the Ravens have finally got the right pieces in place for him to work with. I've never thought too highly of his ability but I'll be forced to change my mind if he keeps this up.

Lol I don't like the Eagles but I really really don't like the Ravens. Plus it's another AFC loss, can't be mad about that hahaha.

I can at least respect the Ravens defense, even if their fans are annoying and Flacco is an abominable QB when it counts.

I can't respect the Eagles anything.

Yeah, I too can respect their defense but there's a list of players on their team that I just do not like, nor their head coach or fans. The Eagles have a lot of cocky guys too but I at least like Reid, Vick and 'Meco, those guys deserve to be successful in my opinion ( just this season, anyway).

I've always liked Ryans, which is unfortunate considering my distaste for that team. Vick is an overrated player and an awful human being and Reid is... well, he'd probably be the best offensive coordinator in the league but he just lacks certain skills to succeed as a head coach (e.g., time management). I dislike Reid because of the company he keeps.

True that, but I think Vick's made great strides in improving his image. It will never take away what he did of course but he's definitely improved. He is definitely overrated, but we'll see if he can actually stay on the field and lead his team this year. If he does, he definitely makes the Eagles a serious threat in the playoffs, much moreso than Edwards or Foles can anyway. We'll see if he has what it takes, but the Redskins, Cowboys, and Giants defenses will have something to say about that of course lol.

    • You think the Ed Dodds you see in edited clips here is the same as the Ed Dodds who interviews with teams?   I don’t know you or anyone would think that?      He’s very much respected around the NFL which is why multiple teams ask to interview with them most every year.
    • I was too hahaha  Why’s that
    • Round 1 - #15 A. Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas B. Brian Thomas, WR, LSU C. Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia   Round 2 - #46  A. Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M B. Marshall Kneeland, DE, Western Michigan C. Jaden Hicks, S, Washington State   Round 3 - #82 A. Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon B. Darius Robinson, DE/DT, Missouri C. Ben Sinnott, TE, Kansas State   Round 4 - #117 A. Jalyx Hunt, DE, Houston Christian B. Mason McCormick, OG, South Dakota State C. Malik Washington, WR, Virginia   Round 5 - #151 A. Beaux Limmer, OC, Arkansas B. Tanor Bortolini, OC, Wisconsin C. Isaac Guerendo, RB, Louisville   Round 6 - #191 A. Decamerion Richardson, CB, Mississippi State B. Qwan'tez Stiggers, CB, Toronto C. Nick Gargiulo, OC, South Carolina   Round 7 - #234 A. Millard Bradford, SS, TCU B. Mark Perry, FS, TCU C. Dalton Tucker, OG, Marshall   BONUS: Will the Colts trade the #15 pick this year?  A: Yes, they will trade back.
    • Yeah... Richardson needs players who can separate and who can get open deep. IMO "give the inaccurate QB a contested catch receiver with large catch radius" is one of the tropes that hasn't proven to work well. Contested catches have about 50-55% success rate even with the best of contested catch receivers and with relatively accurate QBs... now if you think AR's accuracy is not good, drop that rate even more. The best way to give a relatively inaccurate QB better chance to complete passes is to give him a WR who separates and and who is open so the QB would have more of a margin for error to throw the ball a little behind or ahead or a little higher or lower than ideal. (we are not talking about uncatchable balls here... those will be uncatchable for anyone really). In that regard, one thing I would agree about is - we need WRs who have good hands and have good ball skills.   And this is ignoring that AR has indeed been pretty good with his accuracy on passes at intermediate and long range. His biggest problem coming into the league was the short stuff and he was already showing improvements in that deparment before he got injured.    And Worthy is the WR who created the most separation from anybody in this draft :
    • Richardson  accuracy  on deep balls is his strength.  Hence why you pair an elite deep threat in worthy.
