Well...grats on the win. I'd say good game, but lets be honest, that was a pretty ugly game overall from both sides.

I have to admit I'm jealous of the Colts going from Manning to Luck. Luck definitely looks good even under pressure. I'm tired of the vikings using washed up Vets and mediocre drafted QB's. Good luck the rest of the season

lol....we completely tear the team down and rebuild....catch a win in a fraction of the time it took last year. Awesome.

Definitely a great game, heart attack material in the fourth. Vikings did kill themselves with penalties also!!!!!!!!!!

Great job by luck leading us down the field on that last drive! Guy is looking good for having a sketchy OL, starting center out today and no running game. Big confidence booster!

my original prediction

Colts 23 Vikings 20

Andrew Luck 24/38 241 2 td 1 int (Wayne/Fleener

actual outcome

Colts 23 Vikings 20

Andrew Luck 20/31 224 yards 2 td (Wayne/Allen)

pretty darn close

Colts improved a lot from the first game, and I was really glad to see them step up... The Vikings on the other hand managed to shoot themselves in the foot over and over again. It was a little too close for comfort at the end. Good luck to you as well.

That game made me sick, should have been about 40 to 10. Shades of ol Caldwell. You have a young QB and receivers give them the ball and let them learn this game. How long did we have the ball on their side of field and come away with 3 pointsWOW Iam happy for the win buttttttt. I know that Pagano really wanted this win, hpoe we will not go thru situation again this year. Let them play to win coach.

Why did we spike it there? The clock wasn't going

another rookie mistake. Andrew thought the clock was going to run after they placed the ball down, but it wasn't because of the D penalty. Mr. Luck learned at least a couple of things through school of hard knocks in his victory.

Adam Vinateiri scored the game winning 53-yard field goal with eight seconds left to win the first regular season, and home, game in the Chuck Pagano/Andrew Luck era without, and avoiding overtime 23-20. Colts host the Maurice Jones-Drew, and the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday at LOS.

We'll enjoy this win, making their record so far 1-1, and see you next week right here on the Colts Game Day Thread. As always, GO COLTS!!! :):blueshoe::helmet::coltshelmet::coltslogo::colts::coltsfb::coltshorse::1colts::D

    • Due diligence.  Kick the tires on anything you can and maybe you catch lightning in a bottle.
    • Mack got $90M gtd...I can't see Clowney getting close to that. I think it would probably be ~$60-65M...which is what Lawrence and Clark both got...and maybe not even that much.    It's not my money...but I would do it. The Colts have the money...and I don't think the Colts will find a better player to add to the team in FA...Clowney is a 3x consecutive Pro Bowler with double digit sack upside...heading into his prime...whose skill sets fits perfectly into a position where they have a long-term need.    To put it another way...I would much rather give Clowney a deal and add him to this team to try and win a Super Bowl...than spend that cash on extending guys 1-2 years before they are due. The Colts have a nice 3-4 year window where they can be a lot more aggressive.   Signing someone like Clowney will make a dent...but it won't hurt them long-term. There is a very good chance this team will have left upwards of $80M on the table over this four-year period. Right now, they have to spend $44M in cash next offseason just to get 89% (using OTC and estimating a $10M increase for the salary cap). They will make that up for sure (in FA and extensions)...but they have the flexibility to commit to a player like Clowney. I get being lean during those first two years...but not now.   The key for me would be the draft capital. If it's only one of those 2nds...I am very intrigued.
    • You can't believe everything you hear. He's perhaps just testing out market value
    • Well it did say in the article Ballard contacted the Texans about his availability.
    • Thank God Ballard is too smart to fall for this kind of noise. Looking forward to this season I think we have a fine team
